I am pretty sure the employer act like our government and give out false information like EV batteries are very safe. There is nothing to worry about. It will never burn.... Just like everyone is saying EV is safer than ICE. There are more ICE cars catch fire than EV

NFL receiver Randall Cobb, family 'lucky to be alive' after escaping house fire started by Tesla charger
June 27, 2024 NFL wide receiver Randall Cobb and his family are "lucky to be alive" after a Tesla car charger caught fire, setting their Nashville home ablaze this week. "The Tesla charger caught on fire in the garage late last night and quickly spread. We got out of the house with nothing but the clothes on our back and no shoes on our feet." "Unfortunately we don't know how much, if anything, will be salvageable, but this has been a reminder that nothing is more important than the health of our family. https://www.foxnews.com/sports/nfl-r...-tesla-charger |

Harvard Study Says 1 In 5 Public EV Chargers Doesn’t Work
06/27/2024 The study was based on a decade of data and found that charging stations in the US had a reliability score of just 78 percent — or, in other words, one in five chargers is broken. The research was conducted by a fellow of Harvard Business School and included data from more than 1 million charging-station reviews by EV drivers across North America, Europe, and Asia. “Imagine if you go to a traditional gas station and two out of 10 times the pumps are out of order,” said the study’s lead researcher, Omar Asensio. “Consumers would revolt.”. Speaking to Bloomberg, he elaborated, “No one’s maintaining these stations.” https://www.carscoops.com/2024/06/ha...s-doesnt-work/ |

You shouldn't be able to install a 220v outlet with out a permit and thus an inspection depending on local code. Having installed many 220v outlets over the years you have to be pretty stupid to screw that up.

Swedish police investigate three unexplained deaths at an electric vehicle battery plant
June 27, 2024 COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — Police in northern Sweden said Thursday they were looking into the unexplained deaths of three men who had died within a short period after working at an electric vehicle battery plant in the Arctic. The deaths have puzzled Swedish media which have reported about the three people who died after working at Northvolt’s plant in Skelleftea, some 620 kilometers (385 miles) north of Stockholm. Two of them died in January and February, while a third one passed away last year. Two were working at the plant and the third one was a cleaning person. Police investigator Johan Stabbfors told The Associated Press that an investigation has been opened, noting “there is some kind of indication that there has been some type of exposure in one of the cases.” He did not elaborate. https://apnews.com/article/sweden-po...5f2e1893fefcec Maybe they died because it was too freaking cold to live? Mulder and Scully will start their investigation. |

Tesla loses EV quality edge as repair problems continue to plague
https://www.cnbc.com/2024/06/27/jd-p...lity-edge.html
"The study attributes Tesla’s growing problems to a negative response from customers after the company removed traditional feature controls, such as turn signals and wiper stalks. Overall the study found electric vehicles are plagued with more problems compared to traditional gas- and diesel-powered vehicles with internal combustion engines." |

Elon Musk Turned Democrats Off Tesla When He Needed Them Most For years, the biggest cohort of Tesla buyers, politically speaking, has been Democrats. But when Elon Musk took a hard turn last fall, they didn’t follow him. The proportion of Democrats buying Tesla vehicles fell by more than 60%, according to car buyers surveyed in October and November by researcher Strategic Vision. Tesla has since made up ground with blue buyers, the research shows. But the dramatic drop highlights the risk hanging over Tesla with an increasingly political chief executive, at a time when electric-car makers are already struggling to appeal to many Republican buyers. The fall contraction coincided with Musk’s being increasingly vocal about illegal immigration, amplifying a tweet promoting antisemitic vitriol and publicly attacking Disney over his contention that the entertainment company had become too woke. https://www.cnbc.com/2024/06/27/jd-p...lity-edge.html Me, I'd buy a car from Satan his self if it was the car I wanted, I think I may have bought a Saab from him , but I'm not a Democrat. A lot of things I would do to support Elon Musk but buy a Tesla is not one of them! |

10,000 fires a year: Highly flammable lithium-ion batteries raise concerns
Jun 23, 2024 An urgent call for more safe drop-off points for batteries has been issued by the waste and recycling sector. In Australia, waste management trucks witness more than 10,000 fires a year caused by lithium-ion batteries. Lithium-ion batteries (LiBs) are energy-dense and contain highly flammable materials. Risks and hazards associated with LiBs include fire, explosion, radiation, heat, chemical exposure, and electrical hazards. https://interestingengineering.com/e...batteries-fire Alright, move on, nothing to see here! |
