Both RB And Ferrari cars should be well ahead of the grid but it seems like it's only LEC and VER getting everything out of their cars.

Awesome three laps between Charles and Max before the lockup. From practice, qualy and now the race it’s really weird to see the RB have the slight advantage on the straights and Ferrari in the middle sector. I feel like I’m in the twilight zone. I’m also baffled on how Carlos is so far behind.

So Merc using hard tyres for just ~15 laps again seems to be a tactical blunder.....
Now they're thinking to do 28 laps on mediums..and be fast?

Yes , Checo is saving tires and It's part of the Red Bull strategy ..

Red Bull did also a great job with MAX's pitstop , coming out just behind Charlie
But the Ferrari is just too fast ..

Man this is crazy. Ferrari engines all performing well. Mercedes engine supplied teams dead last. Luckily it's the beginning of season, but I know I'll be sad every race weekend. Poor Lando…….

Without telemetry it's very difficult to get a feeling how good the softs are vs. the mediums. Both in complete tyre life as in how they perform in the beginning vs. the end
PER's stint on the mediums wasn't particulairly long.
I was a bit surprised that he came in directly after SAI.
Going on that the mediums aren't that much slower (SAI and PER were about as fast) but also don't have that much more life.
OF course we don't know how the rest of the suspension is set up.

I think getting the feeling for the tyres is also still an issue for the teams (considering how HAM was sliding along on his tyres....)

It's still early, so I'm curious what the RB engineers do for next race and beyond. Ferrari is a couple steps ahead. Toto seems somewhat optimistic about his engineers figuring out the limitations so far. But Mercedes is still Toto-lly behind.

If GAS is the only car that retires, then that is quite a good score, certainly with so many rule changes.
Last year 2 cars retired.
