T Rowe Price has some very good analysts. I've been with them since the 1980s.
That's a good look... sadly I don't think any of those potential scenarios are what I would consider to be good... as the end result is inflation, rates from years ago or recession...

The China stimulus package will most certainly cause inflation... the normal cycle will just put us in like w 5-6% rates... this isn't spurring any "real demand" so to speak especially given what we've been used to for 15 years. The third scenario (IMHO most likely especially if more inflation comes back) is the worst of all...

Ooh, nice. I didn't get the impression that anyone here bought individual stocks. FWIW, Morningstar sets their fair value at $12.64. I hope it goes even higher for you. I cannot say that I ever heard of this company. I'd consider the award of that big NASA contract to be a huge endorsement. A 354% YTD gain is quite a moonshot, indeed. Nice pun, BTW.

They are the people that successfully landed on the moon last spring, a first for a private company. I was more sold on their Earth-based ground stations for moon probes and manned missions when I bought it last year, because they built their own from scratch and aren't leeching off of NASA's like other companies. The NASA contract validated my decision to buy it.

This is all in my family's multi-generation play money investment account, and I only bought a grand of the stock well before their moon landing.

Speaking of puns, I'm hoping that it doesn't crater after tomorrow's earnings call.....

That is the weird thing about earnings calls. a company can report positively, and it still causes a drop. Or they can report mediocre and the stock can soar.

This sounds like a solid choice for an exploration position to me. More puns.

On edit: Mr Market is still over the moon on LUNR. Another 23% gain in after hours trading.

Berkshire's new filing indicates stakes in Domino's, POOL and Heico. Domino's is up nearly 8% in after hours trading.Morningstar gives it a fair value of $415. But, we know that Berkshire does thorough due diligence.

I admittedly haven’t played with the market up until recently (…our deferred compensation investments are handled via Charles Schwab and our government pension portfolio via the county). That said, I decided to dabble a little bit recently, acquiring shares of DJT, HON and AAOI. Any tips for a stock newbie?

I just got in, because I was tired of seeing the predictable ups and downs of Tesla and not acting on it. Naturally, when I got in, they were at the upper peak (of where I would have sold them at) so I didn't buy, figuring in a few months they'd be down at my buy point. Then the election happened. I'm staying away for now, but honestly can't tell if the market has fully priced in Elon's proximity to Trump...there may be further bump ups.

So instead, I just put everything into two ETF's. XEQT and QQQ. On paper they've appreciated roughly 3% already in less than a month. If that growth were to continue, I'd be quite happy, but not counting on it. My goal is to just sock $5-8K / month away into those two going forward.

I was thinking about a few ETF’s too. I’ll take a look at those.

The usual suggestion for new investors is to put your money into an index fund that tracks the S&P 500 and let it ride. The bulk of my play money investing account is in one most of the time.....

Well that’s already occurring with my deferred compensation plan handled by Schwab. I put 8.5% of each paycheck into my deferred compensation for Schwab to do what they do best. Another 15% goes into the pension fund.
