If that had been me and my current partner, and assume I was with coworkers or similar, I definitely would have frozen and not known what to say. Then still not know what to say the next day really either. I agree it's a bit weird and he surely could have handled the situation a lot better, but I see no cause for concern. Having a go a the waiter for spilling a bit of drink, on the other hand......

Guilty of what? Having a life? Maybe he felt awkward. Maybe he was tongue tied. I guess he should be sitting home waiting for contact? Please. .....you lost your power of speech when you ran into a hottie if I remember correctly.

He had her number, what held him back from saying he was out with friends or whatever, "how's the food" doesn't fly. Way too many fish in the sea to waste a breath over.

My people right here. I'm the same way. Maybe I'm a douche. I still get along with 90% of my ex's. Even if I'm out with the girlfriend, it's not uncommon for one to come up and say hi. Just because it ended, doesn't mean that it ended on bad terms. I explain the situation to the girlfriend and she understands. She knows that I had a life before her and appreciates that fact that I don't try to bullshit her to cover things up. She'd rather me be honest about it and just move on.

Even in my situations, as crazy as they have been, I have never been in public place with two women whom I was sleeping with at the same time. She didn't care. It was the way he acted that made it odd according to her. She walked by and told him Hi. I talked to her yesterday and she even said it's not like we were exclusive. I think the douche part was the text the next day like hey, how was your sushi.
