Recycling horses isn't an issue, just a glue factory and a couple Vietnamese restaurants and what horse?

Interesting that if the EV market has an acceptance ceiling and most of those inclined have EV already why would the current direction be towards cheaper models. I would think the effort would be to upgrade current users into EV's that are higher end with more features?

Prescient.
I'd only want a horse if it wins races

When will they learn.
Slow clean power generation growth hits Texas power sector
April 17, 2024
Drops in power generation from wind farms, hydro dams and nuclear reactors has forced the operator of the electric grid in Texas - one of the largest power systems in the United States - to boost fossil fuel use and emissions so far this year.
Rising use of air conditioners due to high temperatures have boosted power use and spurred the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) to ask electricity generators to delay or cancel planned outages this week.
But tight supplies of clean power have meant that ERCOT system managers have been forced to crank generation from fossil fuels to balance system needs.
That higher production has lifted ERCOT's total fossil fuel-powered generation by 10% from the same period in 2023.
In contrast, ERCOT generation from clean power sources has expanded by just 3% through April 15 from the same period in 2023, due to a 23% slump in hydro output, a 3% drop in wind power, and a 4% decline in nuclear generation.
But due to solar output stopping completely during the night, solar's contribution to the overall generation mix will likely be limited to around 8% to 10% of the total.

https://www.reuters.com/sustainabili...re-2024-04-17/

It's not even summer yet. When will the greenies understand that with present technology only nuclear can supply the power for their electric future.

Couldn't have anything to do with this?

Bullshit. What does “recycle” even mean? Or “plastic?” Besides, I can grow new horses; can you grow new cars?

Do you agree comparing a ICE car with an EV is like comparing a microwave with a grill? They both heat food but I know which one taste so much better.

For me internal combustion engine everyday and twice on weekend

What China’s EV buyers’ remorse means for the world
Apr 12, 2024
China is the most important country in the world when it comes to the future of electric vehicles: It accounts for about 60% of all global EV sales, its market for EVs is surging, and it is home to the planet’s biggest EV manufacturer.
Alongside that remarkable growth, however, has been frustration: The survey from McKinsey China pegged battery EV buyers’ “regret rate” as surging from 3% in 2022 to 22% last year, which its report blamed largely on limited charging infrastructure.
Early adopters of EVs were often more affluent, curious, and well-researched on the topic. But as the market has ballooned, consumers quickly shifted from trailblazers to more everyday users, who may be less prepared for challenges associated with EVs, he said.

You do realize neither of those things are the survey, right? Im beginning to think you don’t even read the shit you post, much less verify or contemplate it.

What was that computer virus that waited until your pc was asleep, then used all its computing power to send spam emails and other shit? Not sure why im reminded of that…

Besides, horses have a 0% regret rate.

Yes. Far more cars are gown and at a far faster rate and can do far more units of work than horses. All you get when you eat a horse is shit for a few days.

I stick with dictionary book definitions of words. You can look them up if need be.

This isn't the first fatal Amish buggy crash in Upstate New York. One man was killed and another was injured in a fatal crash in Gouverneur, New York.
As the talk is about horses currently, is it known if the horse also perished in this collision..

I don't own a horse but my Sister and her Husband ride dressage and have 4 currently. Between feed, tack, barn, trailer, tow vehicle, vet bills etc... it is like owning 4 racecars.

IMO, EVs are a great idea experiencing a lot of growing pains. As the technology improves and infrastructure adapts, they will be the future or personal automobiles.

For example, if Toyota can deliver on their battery timeline, and it does not require some special charger infrastructure, it could be a game changer. 750 mile range and 10 minute charge to go from a 10%-80% charge will be a lot closer to the ICE experience. I have NOT read how solid state batteries respond to extreme heat or cold so that could have an impact.

https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a4...battery-plans/

With all that said, there is a lot of ancillary work that needs to be done and all of that requires time and money.
