LOL. Nice. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if this were in Japan.

Ugh, me either. It's been so warm here and I'm struggling to get in the Christmas spirit. It was cool and gorgeous yesterday and still cool today. It's supposed to warm up again.

I keep saying I'm going to make a list and get started. Everyone has everything they need. Even my nieces and nephews. My sister said don't buy them anything because I take them throughout the year and do a lot with them. I can't show up without a gift though.

Same, and usually done by now. No idea what to get anyone this year though. It's all the same shit year in and out. Told everyone I don't want anything. Just looking forward to traveling home to spend time with everyone for the next 3 weeks.

We always get Christmas shopping done early. Finished in October. My brother-in-law does it Christmas Eve. I don't see how he can stand it. Rushing, crowds, must be a madhouse everywhere. lol

I would be fine never receiving a Christmas gift again in my life, if it means that I'd never have to shop for a gift for anyone else again

I feel the same way. We are fortunate to be able to buy whatever we need/want. I feel at this point we're just swapping money and I might get something that I don't necessarily want/need.

I hear you. Our bed set we bought July 4th finally got delivered Saturday so I needed a new comforter/sheets and went to Macys and the mall. Didnt do one bit of shopping for anyone else though. Had some Cheesecake Factory, Starbucks coffee and got some bedding and was OUT!

Thats the problem, I have no idea what to get anyone. I don't have any clue what to get my wife except a Maserati

No offense but you're a twisted individual who can not be trusted. I work much better under pressure.

Me as well....I just feel like its a continuation of last Christmas and COVID. The excitement just isn't there right now and I don't know why

Christmas:
Son 1: asked for bar stools. We found several sources, just haven't followed thru
Son 2: Mom had some Thomas Kinkade ceramics, about 5x7, one for each season. We had them framed, and will give to him when he comes down.
Son 3: He's learning to be a teacher. I got him a copy of Einstein's saying about learning. Being framed now
Dad's Wife: I was clearing some thing in the backyard and found a box with her pictures, and a scrapbook that got wet and moldy. My niece does that artsy-stuff, so she made a new book with name and a rose.
Dad: probably get him a goat, or some other farm animal. Maybe the local food share

That just leaves the wife . . .

I love this time of year. The decorations and how cozy it feels. I need it to be colder so I can light some fires. Turning the thermostat down and lighting a feel just isn't the same lol. I'm just struggling this year.

Sorry to hear. Maybe as it gets closer to the holiday some Christmas cheer will make you feel better. Here's hoping it does.

I do confess, however, that every time a significant relationship in my life has ended, it always seemed to end around this time of year, totally souring the season and leading to a little bit of depression.

Yep, and the same thing with damn gift cards. I don't need someone to give me money to stores I already frequent!

That's exactly it. Unless someone wants to buy a new fence or to re-side the house there's nothing want or need. Maybe a Ferrari but everyone just laughs and thinks it's a joke.
