I vaguely remember a thermometer that had various characters that came out dressed in different levels of clothing, to reflect the current temperature? The time I was there 25+ years ago, the lady was all but nekkid! It was unheard of, especially in September, to be in the 30s (C).

This just reminds me how the architecture in the USA is so boring. I can't imagine living someplace that has such a variety of colors and shapes. I suppose eventually you get used to it, and someone that grew up there probably feels the same about their home.

I found this guy more interesting than the Little Mermaid when I was there a few years ago. He was just a short walk from the somewhat over-rated mermaid sculpture (if he is even still there) and no crowd.

I am working on these beasts this week, and the past two. These are old systems (about 24 years old and came from Italy via the Netherlands). These robots are welding sunroof panels for late 90s Volvo, Rolls Royce and Bentley cars.

Another gorgeous view from the "office". Well, the "office" is parked in the driveway. This is a waterfront lot. There's a trail down through the property ending with 100 stairs down to the water's edge.

It's not much the bridge, as it is the terraced farmland on the left.

Exercise your grey matter:

Unlock any padlock and you will open the gate.

Ten seconds with a reciprocating saw to cut the soft "rusty" steel tab that lock #15 is on ....

The tab/bar looks like it sits in a slot in the pin, so you'll have to cut something.

I did a reverse image search and it seems that this is a shared gate by up to 6 residents, each with their own key. So, each one can have an individual lock/key and be able to open this gate.

A nice side benefit is you'll always know who the a**hole is that left the gate unlocked.

Nope...No cutting. Any of those padlocks can open the entire mechanism system. Think and observe...

I get the intent. I was just looking at how easily it could be opened by someone without a key.

Seems for the original intent, making several copies of one key would have been a lot simpler. Not as interesting, but simpler.

The purpose of this little exercise is to figure out how one unlocked padlock can "disable" all the other ones and open the gate.

It's a visual that can be solve in less than 5 seconds. Look at any of the lock and see what you can do if you open it, slide this, lift or drop that...
