I turned 65 last month, working part time since last November, best thing I could have done because I was ready to retire. I went from being the Mechanical Engineering Manager to just a part time staff ME with money to blow on random shit.

With my military retirement and other income, I fully retired many years ago -- at age 48! Not much hard labor involved.

Ha...! It may not be on the list for sensitivity reasons, but I've had to deal with that "skill" too many times. Hazmat bunny suit is your friend.

I was just joking. My usual bedtime is around 11. Sometimes earlier. Up around 7-7:30.

But a night out? Like partying and all that? Forget it.

I was going to reply to you "old habits die hard," thinking you went to bed early for work and can't shake the habit.

I've always had trouble going to sleep early. For several years now I take a sleeping pill but still stay up late, because for me, old habits DO die hard.

Besides I'm retired now and I get to stay up late if I want to.

OCD psycho dog likewise does not have a way to set his internal clock back an hour. The little furry brat is pawing my DW in the head every morning at 2:00 AM to wake up and start her day.....

For some unknown reason I didn’t wake up until 7:51 this morning

And my hip let me know I should NOT get used to such foolishness. I snuggled under my blankets around 10:15

I hate that it feels like 8PM or later when it's only 5:15PM. So damn dark. We're on the eastern edge of CST, so dark come early here.

Happy Felix Unger Day

You know you're old if you remember this date in history.

On November 13, Felix Unger was asked to remove himself from his place of residence. That request came from him wife.

Plenty of laughs....

I saw a blast from the past on my way to work this morning...a little red CHEVETTE! It was an early, pre-facelift model. The body/paint looked decent, but it was leaning to the right like it had a broken spring on the rear.....

Based on the movie of the same name: The Odd Couple, starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau.
