I have a question for the Medicare-eligible (65 and over) folks: How many are still working full time or part time?

With my military retirement and other income, I fully retired many years ago -- at age 48! I stayed semi-busy with home improvements and a small llama herd for some years, but now I've pretty much stopped the former (my swan song was a little shed I built for my wife's goats -- now gone -- five years ago) and the herd is down to three geriatric llamas now. Not much hard labor involved.

Re SiriusXM, it’s on quite a bit in my car. I do like yacht rock and the bridge most of the time for driving. I also play Sirius at our restaurant. We keep it on Classic Rewind, and get a ton of compliments about the tunes we play. It’s good stuff!

'The love is fine but there's nosy neighbors in all 49 States".

That's reaching back there a ways. This one is new to me and I have always been a big fan of Doo Wop. I looked up the Larktones (from Queens), and found only about 4 tracks, all from 1958. A musical flash in the pan. Fun to hear though.

Work is a 4-letter word, unless you count sitting in the spa with a glass of your favorite beverage. Or, watching your groundskeeper manicure your yard. Or, watching your housekeepers shine your house.

I retired 12 years ago and started pulling SS immediately. My wife started pulling SS 2 years later. I was only in the US Army for 2 years and 8 months, but the benny there was I lived through it. We have 2 IRA's, my CalPers pension and health insurance, plus my small VA benny. All in all, we are very blessed.

I thought that looked like Carlin and I recognized Marlo, but I couldn’t immediately put her face with her name. They are both super young there. I vaguely remember That Girl, but never really watched it.

I was a fan of her TV show. Her dad was Danny Thomas who was also a comedian and had his own show, "The Danny Thomas Show." He was also the founder of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and a friend of Frank Sinatra's legendary "Rat Pack."

Yes, I know Margo and Danny well. She’s just so young in that photo I didn’t immediately recognize her. When I was growing up we traveled from Texas to Tennessee every summer for vacation to visit our family and I was always excited to see the St. Jude Children’s Hospital as we crossed the bridge over the Mississippi River coming into Memphis.

That’s Marlo. lol

Auto correct probably did that for you. It tried to do it to me too.

That’s how she looked when I first saw her. She was a pretty young thing then. Actually, always was pretty.

I think I did that myself. I have a good friend named Margo and I’m sure that’s what I typed. Marlo just looks kind of extra “fresh faced” in that photo. If it had been this I’d have known immediately. Also from That Girl.

side note: I’m a big fan of St. Jude’s and if I ever win the lottery they’re going to get a big donation!!

I was lucky enough to see George Carlin in Vegas at one of his shows in his final years. Comic Genius!

I watched that show back in the day and liked George Carlin later on. Had no idea that was him on That Girl.
