The weekly chart of the SPY. Hit a brick wall at resistance. It looks like we are heading lower before we go higher, IMO.

I liquidated all my short term position on Friday.

+1. I agree with you.

I went 60% liquid/40% shorts on Wednesday night. Shorts did well Thursday/Friday. Looking to buy more puts tomorrow morning depending how it opens up.

Mr. Buffet sells off all his airline shares:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.for...l-meeting/amp/

Curious to see if this has any influence on share price Monday. I am pretty comfortable with my current positions in LUV, UAL, AAL, but if we start seeing numbers in the teens, I'll continue buying and lowering my cost basis.

I'm long term for airlines though. Like a decade.

Decided to get rid of all my cruise line stuff. Too risky for me. I have a buddy who has like 30k in Cruise lines and he refuses to sell. I think you'd have to be crazy to hold cruise stuff for the long term right now. Horrible balance sheets, ineligible for federal aid, will take longer to come back than airlines.

Glad I'm only 20% invested though. I still think we will retest lows. Fed QE wearing off?

BA is trading below support right now. I just put in a limit order at $110 GTC so just going to set it and forget it.

I've been debating when to get in too... can't pick a price point. BA has been a roller coaster.

$95 is where BA should be at. $110 is still to high. Will hit around $90-95 and then it rebounds.

If I were trading, I think I would make a policy statement for each position I was interested in that described when I would get in AND when I would get out. Before I ever buy it. Otherwise I would buy everything high and sell it all low. I have trouble removing my emotions from trading.

That's about the price my boss bought in, and I should have last time before it ran so high.

Still kicking myself over that. I had everything locked and loaded....but chickened out lol.

It would have been a quick $9K.

Emotions can definitely cloud your judgement. If I find something I'm interested in, I buy in and than set a sell limit at a certain % of gain.

Then I walk away. I have had some where I made 20%.....but could have made 50%. But I have also seen it go the other way and I got out just prior to a dip.

As long as you are out when it's green...that's all that matters!

You just gotta stop talking about it. lol you've brought this up too many times, you gotta move on!

I didn't get on SHLX @ $6, EAT @10, look what happen now... I could have doubled on both of them. But hindsight is 20/20...

Lol that was my first thought when I read it too

Rmtt don't worry, we've all been in these situation and you live and learn. It could've went the other way too and you could've been sitting at a -9k loss.

Opportunities come and go, this won't be your last. BUT if I ever see BA at 95, you better buy that shit !

I feel ya! I should have sold all my BA when it was over $400. But no, I waited until it was down to $360. before getting all out.

I know......just making small talk. Honestly I don't regret it or have any emotional attachment to it even though it sounds like it.

I won't mention it again.

How did you come up with $95?

I pulled $110 out of thin air, so not scoffing at you here, just curious.

It was one of the lowest points in recent months and that is where I’d feel comfortable for a buy price. Even if it drops to $85-90 I wouldn’t care much as it will go back up. But at the current price of $125 or so it’s too high as that would mean a 30-40% loss if it drops to the 80’s or 90’s range.

I see, I was sort of thinking the same thing, but thought looking at the 52 week low was just too easy of a gauge.

I really hope you're right though. I really like BA and will probably increase my position if we get near $100 per share. However, like I said before, I am buying for decade(s) out, so I don't see a need to worry about a few bucks now when it will clearly be nominal in the long run.

Are you buying for the shorter term, or are these long term prospects?

BA holding for dear life. If it doesn't hold $120 we will see $100 very soon, IMO.

May sell some more held equities that are still going strong and use it to recast the mortgage. It’d save us 6 figures in interest and bring the monthly down a decent amount which would help with single income right now. Looking to put other funds back in more around Q2 earnings season depending on how market behaves between now and then.
