I should've put money on the Pens to win the cup after they went up 3-1 on the Caps...they just seemed like they were not going to be stopped after they won the second game of that series, even though Tampa almost showed them the door. I was gonna do it, too, but tbh I have never used an online sports betting site

It's not over, until we say its over. The sharks can play, they just only do it during the 3rd period. Keep the faith, trade Marleu for a six pack.

Pavelski was the doom of the Kings in that player benching scheme I came up with.
For Penns, it's been only Jones that has been stopping them. |

FYI UNU predicted a 4-2 Penguins win before the series started.
THis is the same system that predicted the correct Superfecta in the Kentucky Derby. So if you're rooting for the Sharks, break out some of that nasty, below the belt voodoo shit!

At this point, I would be surprised if it is not finished on Thursday. Sharks are not choking--Penguins are just a better team--they were in the regualr season and especially were for the last month(best team in NHL)...not much more to say...once again I'm just happy to be watching hockey in June.

Mensioned it to the wife....would like to take my son. We've been to playoff games....just not the finals. They won't be cheap at this point. I figure upper bowl, 350 min.
EDIT: - just looked, cheap seat, $1245 a ticket. There's no decimal there...and it's per seat. Too rich for my blood. Last edited by ShopVac; 06-07-2016 at 01:28 PM.. |

If you can swing the cost...even upper bowl it would be memorable and your son will always remember that...assuming they win and raise the cup there. That's always the gamble right, if they lose then he will be really dissapointed.

At this point you have to strongly consider Matt Murray for the Conn Smythe....kid has been a stud all playoffs. Looks like Fleury will be getting moved this offseason. Dallas maybe?? |

Well let's see...I would like to keep watching hockey. The only thing I see so far is the Pens have played better every game for most of the time. I think the Sharks stole game three and snuck one in. It's kind of like what happened in the kings series-the kings played good and every game was close down to the last minute but the Sharks were just a little bit better.

I just think the Sharks will play their best game of the series on Thursday and will extend it by one game. I don't think they have what it takes to do more than that, but I've seen enough playoff hockey over the years to think that they aren't going to go quietly on Thursday.
As for the Conn Smythe ... don't think it should be (or will be) Murray. Generally when you think of goalies who win the Smythe, you can usually point to a game in each series along the way that they absolutely stole. Murray's been very good, but he hasn't needed to steal a game at any point. For me, Crosby should win the Conn Smythe. In the last three games of the Bolts series ... when Pittsburgh was faltering just a bit ... he picked the entire team up, put them on his back, and willed them to win. He was the best player on the ice in the first two games of this series as well. I think there's also an argument for Letang or Bonino. |

There's a great argument for Bonino...but all those blocked shots go un-noticed come voting time. Sad...just stating.
As much as it pains me to say this...if it was over (no difference in remaining games) Kessel would be in this mix. |

I think there's a great argument for Bonino. From important face-off wins to blocked shots to key goals to making Kessel an actual real hockey player ... I just don't know where this version of #13 was when he was here last season!

my vote would be for Kessell or even Letang. I think it's pretty hard to vote against Kessell for Conn Smythe. I think the Pens wrap this up Thursday. God damn I hate the Penguins (and the Flyers), but good on them. They definitely transformed into a completely different team after the coaching change and they really are the best team in the NHL right now. |

They were on their backs against the Bolts in game 6. He singlehandedly carried the Pens to that victory and had a phenomenal game 7. The Conn Smythe typically rewards clutch performances and players who carry their teams over the top and Crosby fits that bill more than anyone else on the Penguins. Without Kessel the Pens would likely still be playing for the Cup. Without Crosby or Bonino or Letang or Malkin? Not so much. |
