So wtf happened to Kimi?!?!?! Sorta dissapointed with the race. I thought Kimi would pull on Hamilton.
Now Alonso has a 40 point lead over his closest rival, Webber and Vettel is 2 points away from Webber.

What an incredible race. My heart was ponding there at the end, haha. I really thought Kimi was going to make it a photo finish there for awhile. I wouldn't have been bummed if Kimi made the pass on Hamilton, even though McLaren is my team. Mostly because Ferrari and Red Bull were so far back, lol. Lotus is due for a win, and I think it'll come here really soon.
Congrats to Hamilton along with Lotus, they really made the race exciting to watch. |

So much for "plan B". I wanted to kill Sam Michael everytime the camera was on him. Strategy nearly ruined both McLaren's race.
I would've love Kimi to take the win!!!

good race, the Iceman did a great job in the second stint, Lotus proved their strategy was the correct one this time out, Kimi was able to do some really good laps when other were stuck in traffic.
Shame the last minute change of strategy didnt work out for JB, he wasnt as fast on the prime tire but he used up most of his options in qualifying so guess he didnt have much of an option. I still think they should have stayed w/ a 2 stop, SV was hella frustrated behind JB and McLaren did SV a favor by pitting JB. Solid race for LH, he maintained a good pace while managing his tires and of course Maldonado is at it again lol |

A typical Hungaroring snorefest. Not much on-track action to speak of.
Great drives from the Lotus boys and Hamilton, although you wonder how well Lotus could really do if they could just manage to get their qualifying in order. Red Bull strategy was just plain bizarre today - why did they do 3 stops for Webber and Vettel on a circuit where passing is nearly impossible? Also, DRS was utterly useless. I don't think I saw a single DRS pass (unless it happened to occur when SPEED cut to commercials). |

I agree, bit of a snoozefest. And now no more F1 for a month. Ugh. Glad to see Lotus gaining ground. They'll take a race this year.
Forecasters really blew the weather prediction. A wet race would have been more interesting.

I felt like this is the case that McLaren is listening too much to the telemetry and "mission control" back in Woking thousands miles away.
I suppose when they plan out the race strategies, Plan A will give them a total race time of 1:41:32.525 (random number) with two pitstops (Option, Prime, Prime); Plan B will have a total race time of 1:42:02.325 (random) with three pitstops (Option, Prime, Option, Prime). When Button completed his first stop, his pace missed the target for Plan A total time, thus the strategy calls for Plan B. However, they forgot the racing scenario where he was effectively holding up Vettel and ruining his race. Also they forgot with a short and narrow track, they will put Button stuck in traffic. Thus I said today they rely on number and telemetry too much rather than racing instinct. That's something they can learn, especially in tracks like Monaco and Hungary, and even Singapore.

Pretty uneventful race, glad to see Lewis pick up another win though.
And yeah WTF Schumacher. "The race is about to start? Better turn off my engine!"
