The guy has certainly achieved something noteworthy, and it's an achievement that transcends having enough money to buy a car, or car mods, etc., so it certainly ranks higher in my book than people posting pics of their cars and seeking a bit of congratulation. I know from doing my five days of lifting and daily aerobics, keeping fit isn't easy, and it's even less so as one ages (not that 48 is old, but it ain't 24 either). So, OP, major kudos!!

As for the complaints about where the OP posted the pic, I believe the name of the forum in which he posted it is: Photo/Video/Media Gallery. Although "Off Topic" may have seemed more apt, the fact is he posted a photo in the photo gallery.

Finally, the guy's clearly not your typical overweight American, which alone, regardless of his having won a body building competition, or gender, or sexual orientation, makes him more interesting to look at that 90% of the people one encounter's on a daily basis. Indeed, the sole reason I go to my firm's major social events is to look at the trophy-wife spouses/mistresses who are married to the incredibly wealthy, boring as all sh*t, 20+ pound overweight swine who are partners in the firm. I just thank God none of our events occur at the beach!

Congrats but imo its about longevity and from what I have read that kind of life style is not sustainable but hope I am wrong.

Also with all the work you put in how much time do you work, spend with family, and spend on other activities i.e. cars, etc?

I don't think its a matter of misunderstanding. The ridicule stems from the appropriate types of post on this forum. This is completely off topic and clearly belongs in another area of this forum. Even then, this is a car forum, full of people who have different opinions other than we all like BMW's. While we all have respect for hard work and dedication, we may not respect the application of hard work to a selfish and self-absorbed pursuit.

Now if this were a body building forum, this would have received a different response, of course. But here, it is no different than posting you checkbook balance, or your dick size. Which we do in the Chicagoland Chat thread regularly....but that is an anything goes thread.

very wrong, im into sport bikes sports cars, lifted trucks, sell corals, (i have a 700 gallon salt water system, travel, teacher, landscaping and construction, lift 4x a week, thats it... and i didnt list a lot more which tons of times w family and partyin..

the easiest thing in the world is to become a ball full of excuses......

Having large muscles doesn't make you not ugly....in fact many chicks not appearing on the Jersey Shore find body builders ugly. And nothing is more ugly than an aggressive, self-absorbed, arrogant, light bulb.

lol +1..tons of guys at the gym that have huge upper body and chicken legs, or they are so big they can barely bend their arms..thats not healthy..congrats to OP hes managed to achieve a super lean and muscular healthy looking body at age 48..although i agree it should have been posted somewhere else..i understand the commitment it takes to get like this and appreciate what hes done here. and as for women, they def preffer the athletic body type over huge body builders..atleast most normal girls do.
