I am interested to see the Handling Pack price, because this is where you have all the GT350 track durability parts, like rear axle cooler, GT350 Oil cooler, aero (including under car, where it really counts), and trans cooler.

But it looks too expensive compared to the Camaro. So unless it can somehow be significantly quicker around a racetrack, the Camaro now wins the value for speed battle.
PP2 was already very close to a 1LE, close enough that I'd worry more about the driver than the car. The main issue with these cars, if you are trying to go fast, is the lack of torque down low. It's not horrible, but you gotta wring that smaller displacement up a lot higher to get the same thing, so area below the curve is a continual fight for the smaller displacement NA V8. Something like the 3.5 ecoboost with twin turbos would potentially be a better platform than their fixed-bore V8 engines, just for the purpose of going fast.

Honestly, I don’t think it’s as big of a deal. My 1st Gen Coyote (2014 GT) had 420HP and 380lb-ft. And it was still one of the fastest cars on an average track day.

This 3rd Gen Coyote makes 480hp and 420lb-ft. 35tq less than the SS. But the top end of the Coyote is better, and the car makes up for a slower start at the top end. It had a Redline of 7400 too, which is nice.

Also won’t suffer any of heat soaking issues of the FI motors.

PP2 was quick, but didn’t have the endurance. Rear did would overheat. This version will be quick for many more laps.

How much quicker than a 1LE? Dying to find out.

But still too expensive for what it is. We’re now approaching M2C territory in price!!

Yeah but you have that pesky "affordable parts and reliability" you have to deal with compared to BMWs. Such a travesty.

When I bought my 14' GT Track Pack new, it was $33k out the door. It was $15k under M3 pricing, and within 0.1s at Laguna Seca.

This will be a bit faster than M2C, but for $5k less? Now the BMW interior might be worth it!

But there is still the sound...

I had a '13 Track Pack. But I special ordered a base, no Recaros, no options, except the track pack. Paid $30,500 for it in October '12 after it was delivered 2 months early.

Sold it in April '13 for $30k because a guy wanted a no option track pack car, RIGHT NOW.

I think Coyote sounds so much better than the Chevy small block, but I'm not sure $10k better. Not to mention, these cars all so incredibly fast and way more capable than me, or 90% of HPDE/TT drivers.

Not to mention the tire/brake/fuel bill for actually using them as such.

Awesome! They are impressive cars. I went down the rabbit hole with mine. Tracked it stock for 2 seasons except fluids and pads. Then I did lowering springs, adjustable dampers, sways, camber plates, wheels, tires, intake and tune, GT 500 rear brakes, and happily tracked it every year till 2018. I did get to point of being on par with the car, and when I did I started having overheating issues on track. Sold it in 2018, and still miss it sometimes. Miss the Coyote for sure.

The configurator is live. Looks cool, but for me it's overpriced for what it is. The way I would set it up puts it at $56k, and still missing the eLSD of the Camaro, for $10k more.

Camaro has the edge in my book.

I just wish you could see out of the Camaro. Its a great car, but your visibility is really compromised in it, to the point where I don't think i'd enjoy driving it that much if I wasn't on a race track or something.

On the road (not the track) how much better is this than GT with PP2 and an aero kit?

Only real world difference is the manual transmissions, the Mach 1 gets the nice Tremec from the GT350 while the GT still has the mediocre MT-82.

The transmission alone may be worth it. Fook me once but I will not ever buy another car with an MT82 transmission again. That transmission sucks the life out of owning a Mustang.

No GT 350 but far more than just the transmission -
https://fordauthority.com/2020/06/20...aero-upgrades/

Mach 1 features a host of revised Shelby GT350 components including the intake manifold, oil filter adapter, and engine oil cooler, which increases cooling capability by 50 percent. GT350’s Tremec 3160 6-speed manual transmission, which features rev matching for the first time. It also comes equipped with the GT350 oil cooler system and Mustang GT’s twin-disc clutch and short-throw shifter.

Latest MagneRide calibration, a stiffer steering I-shaft, new EPAS calibration, stiffer sway bars and front springs, a brake booster from the Mustang GT Performance Pack 2, a rear subframe with stiffer bushings, and a rear toe-link from the Shelby GT500.

A set of new 19 inch x 9.5 inch and 19 inch x 10 inch five-spoke Tarnished Dark-painted aluminum wheels are an updated version of the classic Magnum 500 style wheels.

The Handling Package, exclusively available with the 6-speed manual, also includes a larger, unique higher downforce front splitter, new front wheel lip moldings, and a low-gloss Magnetic swing spoiler with a Gurney flap and rear tire spats from Shelby GT500. To enhance track endurance, Ford added two side heat exchangers – one to cool engine oil, the other transmission oil – as well as a rear axle cooling system and lower diffuser from Shelby GT500.

The all-new Mach 1’s grille hearkens back to the original with a deep 3-D mesh, shark-nosed section, and faux lamp elements, but it’s functional, too. The two-piece upper grille, lower grille and valance, and new side grilles, are all designed to aid aero and cooling performance. Low-gloss magnetic and black accents adorn the exterior, including the grille pony badge, mirror caps, and rear spoiler.

Satin Black side and hood stripes are included with reflective accent stripes in any of three colors: Red, White and Orange on the Appearance Package only. Exterior color options include the Mach 1 exclusive Fighter Jet Gray (Appearance Package only), as well as Iconic Silver, Shadow Black, Oxford White, Velocity Blue, Twister Orange, Race Red, and Grabber Yellow.

In addition to the new front splitter and rear wing, a larger underbelly pan, underwing, and belly pan work in unison to keep the new Mach 1 glued to the road. In fact, the Mach 1 generates 22 percent more downforce than a Performance Pack 1 Mustang GT, and the downforce improvement jumps to approximately 150 percent with the Handling Package.

The interior features a unique Dark Spindrift instrument panel with aluminum accents. Other adornments include Ebony seats with an accent stripe, new door sill plates, an updated splash screen on the 12.3-inch all-LCD instrument cluster, a white cue ball shift knob, and engraved badging that displays the vehicle’s unique chassis number.
