If they turn it down then it's a Sunday drive almost guaranteed for Max unless Bot suddenly gets a hole in one and I can't see that happening with the dejection and the Merc stranglehold on him from the just one yearly contracts.

Listened to the Bottas interview on Beyond he Grid. His honesty makes him an incredibly likable dude. No doubt Merc will miss him for what he didn’t bring to table, no ego and no drama. Hammy will miss him the most.

It’s clear Toto/Hammy handled Bottas emotionally every step of the way, the way bottas sometimes exhibits Stockholm syndrome traits, Toto used to tell him “pressure is good, turns coal into diamonds” supporting consecutive 1 year deals. This explains why he prefers his time with Williams over Merc.

Hopefully his time with Alpha will allow him to end on a high note, independent of race wins.

Four races left with Merc he may want to rebel against Wolff and charge after Max and Checo though his map may be turned down slightly to get him to end of race for the constructors.
I honestly don't see how toto will handle this if Bot has had enough of the 'coals to diamonds' natter.

We can see Bot is not happy behind that smile, but he'd hold back on the wreck bit as there may be a bonus for him 'if' he behaves. Really though how can a no. 2 have a reasonable convo with Toto but with Russell I think it will be a different scenario with Ham approaching the porch rocking chair.

Seems like a desperate attempt to gain fan support in Brazil.

I suppose it’s better than tweeting in Spanish to the Portuguese-speaking crowd, but not much of an improvement.
