Im currently using my old shitty wheel (had a G29 but couldn't justify the $700CAD for it and a shifter at the time) and started using a triple monitor set-up on assetto corsa, do the cars handle similarly in iRacing or would you say its better or worse?

Damn I'm totally hooked. Started my career on PC2 with the little formulas and the setup is great. Currently running htc vive, fanatec cs v2.5 base, CSL wheel, CSL elite pedals on a simetik rig. Waiting for my inverted v3 pedals, shifter and seat bracket for my sabelt titan carbonio seat that came off a Ferrari challenge racecar. I've been gaming on my kid's Ikea seat cuz that's the only thing that fits within the rig lol.
Thinking if I should get the NLR motion seat and a better wheel.

AC is a fun sim, I spend a lot of time on it, but it's not as close to the real world feel that iRacing has. To me it feels more "arcade" like, than realistic. Has a lot to do with the FFB programming, and physics engine between the two. What I like about iRacing is the North American track selection, NASCAR series, and the GT/F1 racing. It's the closest thing to real world competition you can get. I've crossed paths with a few sporting celebrities (football players, Nascar drivers, GT drivers) on iRacing as well, which is neat. You have to invest in iRacing to get the most out of it, both time to get your Safety Rating and License Class up, and some $

Few friends have gotten back into AC/PC2 a couple times a week. If anyone wants to add me on Steam: TurboSid and join us.

I was on Iracing since 2008 (reached pro license on both road and oval before I had kids lol), have raced many many real drivers, montoya, dale jr, barrichelo etc, all agree that Iracing has an edge as far as overall realism.
Might resub since its been almost a year since I raced and I’m getting the itch again. |

Yeah, I just seem to keep having things come up so I still haven't been able to dedicate the money to get a sim rig built again.
I'll get a bonus in February, so as long as the market doesn't crash between now and then I should be able to finally build one. |

Anyone bought Assetto Corsa Competizone? I need to put more time into it but it's good so far.
