this thing is complete fucking bullshit. The lady in question couldn't even get her main eye witness to collaborate her story. On top of it, evidence from her text messages show that she's thinking about blackmailing Zeke and has already registered the sextape website in the his name. Rumor is, she got her bruises from a bar fight that same weekend.

Needless to say, the police couldn't even press charges. The NFL really dropped this.

The problem is Goodell works for Jerry and all the other owners. He doesn't work for us, the fans, nor the players.

From what I gathered out of all the owners, Craft, Jerry and maybe 2 others owners hold the largest sway in being able to hire or fire the commissioner despite needing most of the owners on board to do anything with the commissioner.

Goodell is in a terrible position such that he needs to apply rule uniformly. I respect the concept, but the manner is incredibly flawed. In Zeke's case, what lesson are you really teaching players? Just don't take your dick out at all? I mean, some women are just fucking crazy and out to get money/fame.

I'm not diminishing the brutal assault committed by Greg Hardy or Ray Rice, but this Zeke situation is absolutely not the same situation.

If there is indeed "compelling evidence" then this should be turned over to the local police and he should serve jail time. Either; Jail and he serves a suspension for as long as his sentence stipulates or no jail and no NFL suspension. Either the guy beat a helpless woman and should be prosecuted or he did not. THERE IS NO IN BETWEEN. The only determination should be degree. If he pushed her and got physical without causing injury to her then 1 year in prison plus fines and probation but if he beat her then 4 years in jail with probation fines and a lifetime suspension.

Not saying he did it but IF he did; This is shameful beyond belief. What kind of disgusting degenerate hits a woman? Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott granted preliminary injunction, likely to play entire season!!!

The ruling is in.

Federal judge Amos Mazzant, of the Eastern District of Texas, ruled Friday to grant Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott a preliminary injunction. It prevents the NFL from enforcing its six-game suspension of Elliott.

The decision means Elliott will play beyond Sunday's season opener against the New York Giants, which he was already approved to play.

Elliott will likely play the rest of the season because of the decision.

According to SportsDay Cowboys insider Kate Hairopoulos, Mazzant said the question he needed to consider is whether Elliott received a fundamentally fair hearing before the arbitrator in Elliott's NFL appeal. Mazzant ruled he did not. The key involved Elliott's and the NFL Players Association's claims that the NFL sanitized the opinions of investigator Kia Roberts, who conducted all of the interviews during the investigation, including those of accuser Tiffany Thompson. Arbitrator Harold Henderson did not require Thompson to appear at last week's arbitration hearing, or demand inclusion of Roberts' notes about her interviews with Thompson. It's also unclear, the judge ruled, what Commissioner Roger Goodell, who issued the suspension, knew about Roberts' opinion.

Mazzant held a hearing Tuesday in Sherman when both sides argued for and against the stay. If the NFL appeals, it's likely Elliott will remain on the field for the rest of this season while his lawsuit is decided. The NFL could also immediately appeal to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and ask for a stay of Mazzant's order.

Goodell announced on Aug. 11 a six-game suspension for Elliott, who the league found to have caused physical injury to former girlfriend Tiffany Thompson on three incidents in July 2016 in Columbus, Ohio. Elliott has denied and fought the claims.

Henderson on Tuesday night denied Elliott's NFL appeal, which leaves the court system as his last venue to fight the discipline. Elliott filed a suit to vacate any NFL discipline last week.

I feel like it's a no win situation for Zeke at this point. Even if he can get it overturned again, you're just constantly in the news cycle, and it's bad PR. In majority of non-bias people's eyes, Zeke is not at fault, and he has already won. But don't expect to sign a contract with Dannon Yogurt tho.

They could easily have been 4-1. Too bad they didn't make the adjustments in the second half to actually close out those teams.

And Zeke thing is still ongoing. With the suspension back on, they just have to keep fighting. One judge already questioned the Zeke case with the way the NFL handled his due process. It's just starting back to zero at this point because they filed early. The "meat" of the argument has yet to be discussed.

Yes, a judge denied the NFLPA's injunction application. The NFLPA has now filed an emergency appeal of that decision. If they win, then the suspension would be lifted pending the outcome of the litigation ... however, I think their chances are slim.
