I couldn’t get into it, the staggered timelines were indeed super confusing, but a full season in and besides Yennefer, they really didn’t do a good job developing any of the characters. Part of it is how much time Henry spends on these side quests that seemingly have nothing to do with the main plot line, or the main quest (what even is the main quest? Who’s the baddie? The Nilfgard guys seem to be the likely candidate but you only know two of them - the sorceress and the dude with the bow - and you really don’t know much ABOUT them).
Maybe they tie it all together later, but right now it’s very disjointed. Whoever compared this to GoT did the show a disservice - that’s an impossible expectation to meet given the lack of storytelling talent here. And they seem to have a much lower special effects budget than HBO |

Alright so I finished Ragnarok last night. Completely underwhelmed by the ending. Not going to give anything any but I think they could've stretched it out another two episode with more action/storyline. Few things unexplained, had higher hopes haha.

I started watching this the other day, and about 4 episodes in I can say I like it, but I need subtitles, and I should have read the backstory first.
I'm good with everything except that entire Dandelion character and the shit he sings. It's nearly as bad as the JarJar Binks character was in Star Wars. |
