I'd say he's off to a good start...12 points in his last 9 games...although if that +/- doesn't sort itself out...well give the guy a good coach and a real defense...

Not bad but needs to score more if he wants to win the best rookie award.

Alexander Ovechkin is playing well also and scores often, too.

this might come out wrong but i think that crosby is gettin so much media attention becasue hes canadian.

granted he will probably be the best player since sliced bread, but correct me if im wrong, its been awhile since a true bonafide "star" has come out of the "true north star" at such a young age. in my opinion european stars are a little less rare...

Most likely true Puck. Europeans are taught skill from an early age, and Canadian kids follow the "old ways", dump and chase, obstruct, etc. The New NHL will bring up a whole new level of skill players.

haha, it was the only sport im good at...96% sure i couldve played D1 hockey, but shit happens. im a small guy and i found that it was easier to "blend" in and find my niche as an ice hockey player rather than football or basketball. its bummer that it doesnt get as much attention here in socal. i must say though that it has gotton better since i started playin back in '98...

i cant wait to get back on the ice...its been too long
