Was going back and forth myself between a Giulia Ti sport and the 340...bottom line is FCA reliability is super questionable and I got a better deal on the 340 than I could for the Giulia. The 340 outperforms the Giulia in speed but I will say the handling/steering feel is incredible in the Giulia. Both have good tuning/mod options available on the market but people on the Giulia forums are celebrating going 1800 miles with no issues lol. It shouldn’t be like that when you’re spending 50-60k on a new car. Plus no 6spd Manual available

I always get the feeling if Alfa Romero wasn't under the FCA, they would do better.

I too feel that if they weren't run by FCA things would be slightly different. C'est la vie...

Anyone else notice this dude made this thread as his first post and has a total of 3 posts, all in this thread? Hasn't really been back for discussion, didn't reply to questions when he came back to make another promotional post. Kinda feels like marketing or a bot to me...

I had driven manual my entire life before getting the Alfa, and honestly it's the best implementation of an automatic / paddle shifters I've experienced (only second to PDK). I'm particularly familiar with DSG / S-Tronic from Audi.
I really wasn't missing the manual at all, in the 1 year I had the car. I'm back in a manual now in my new to me F80 M3. ZF8 transmission with paddles in the Alfa really provided the best of both worlds. I know I'm on a BMW forum, but I think it's way better than the DCT. I'm sure I'm going to get flammed for this.. Obviously in straight up performance the DCT is better, but I test drove a DCT M3 when I was shopping around and good lord the confusion at low speeds is ridiculous. With all the talk about the Alfa's brakes I'd put the DCT in the same boat. I'm sure you get used to it, but the DCT was an immediate NO for me after the test drive.
