I am not happy nor convinced that KP was or is worth his contract!
Dallas absolutely needs another Star player!

I disagree. When healthy (a big if) he's outstanding. But he needs to play at least half his game by the basket and get some points in the paint. Play an inside outside game with Luca and Hardaway Jr.

Nope. Not enough size to function as a true Center.

I’m a Mavericks fan and love Porzingis. I know he prefers to play the five, but he has not been rebounding well and his great interior defense is somehow gone too. I know he is still recovering from his meniscus injury but still.

KP is fitting into the reputation that euro players have always had coming to the NBA, he may be skilled with shooting, ball handling, passing but he’s too soft. Rarely do I ever see him bang down low with the “big men” that are in the league now, even though the league is much softer than it was. When he played my Suns this week, all I saw from him was threes and fadeaways.

As for Luka, he’s an incredible player and I think his defense and perimeter shooting will get better as he puts in the work. However, during the bubble it seemed like ever time he drives to the basket, miss or make he’d scream at the baseline ref for a foul and I think he needs to tone it down with the whining or they’ll develop a deaf ear to him.

Are used to think that about David Robinson. My second favorite player of all time. Where is he now?

Porzingis is becoming a problem for D. He looks like he doesn’t want to stay there much longer. They might have to trade him. But the biggest problem that D has is the lack of shooters. JRich, DFS, Zing, Luka - all struggle with 3pt shooting thus far.

I read somewhere that they may consider shopping Porzingis for a better complimentary player for Luca. However, they don’t have attractive draft capital as their first round pick this year (2021) goes to the Knicks. If they fall into the lottery and have a top pick, it’s unprotected, therefore, Knicks pick.

They could, and probably should, trade Porzingis for 2-3 useful role players who could probably start in Dallas. Celtics would do it, no need to attach picks.

Nope. KP has plenty of trade value to the correct team. I'm only trading for a Superstar. Or a high first and role players.

Dallas is second to last in 3 point field goal percentage. And let’s not forget....there is no Defense being played by Dallas either. Golden State literally had there way with the MAVS the other night 147 - 116! Ridiculous that Oubre dropped 40 on them.
Teams are just having their way with Dallas at the moment. We need a true Big Man in the middle that can move some people around.
Let’s Go MAVS!!
