My fiance made me watch the Barbara Walters special a couple weeks back when she interviews David and Victoria Beckham. David and Victoria both said they hardly drink alcohol, don't eat cakes, candies or any sweets, and work out religiously. Now both are very sexy humans, I mean if Victoria asked me out I don't know what I'd say and I'd prolly let David take me out as well , but I don't want to live like that. There are too many things in life I enjoy and I enjoy them more then 6 pack abs. Oh and we have plenty of sex

I had a Dr. once write me up as "extreme muscular development" but I could never get past the belly phase, no matter how much or what tricks I tried. So I just quite worrying about that part.
For those with the high metabolisms, it SUCKS when you hit about 40 or so and that switches off. My weight keeps going up even though I've switched more to cardio workouts, and now I always need a jacket when I go out ;( Last edited by UncleWede; 12-19-2007 at 04:13 PM.. |

I'm almost there. I've changed my workouts from M,W,F - an hour each day, to M,T,W,T - half hour personal training/15 min follow up cardio. It's working perfectly.
My diet sucks ass though. I eat well, but I snack too frequently. It's to the point where you can see that the faint six pack, but I'm not doing enough to be really defined or anything. It's a PITA.

how do you stay in shape if you're travelling a lot? I was losing weight+ gaining muscle mass but my company has decided to send me somewhere every other week now and to be honest it sucks ass. I can hit the hotel gym but I dont know why, I'm just out of my comfort zone while travelling. Plus my metabolism died when I was in 8th grade so it's not like I've had a six pack for a while but it was nice getting back in shape...it just pisses me off to see it going down the tubes...any ideas on how to "restore" a shitty metabolism?

Personal training out of the question for you? If it's not, I'd highly suggest it. You'll get the most out of each time you go to the gym.
If you're not comfy with that then you could always just buy some equipment yourself. We have those large aerobics balls, the elastic straps, dumbells, and a few mats. That's all you need and sometimes it's nice to just stay at home and workout. Btw, if you can, SWIM! That's probably one of the best ways to work out. Works every muscle of the body.
