Is item good condition?
Seriously, there would be a waiting list for the next 100 years. |

I would absolutely do this unless there are some unmentioned details making it more of a punishment than a vacation. For example, am I confined to the cabin or can I also explore the surrounding woods? Am I allowed to bring any books? Is the food tolerable or is it nothing but gruel?
It's sad how many people would probably not be willing to go without modern technology, communication, and entertainment in this hypothetical situation.

Need more info.
Do I have matches? Can I bring another person? A gun? Alcohol? Can I bring anything else, or is it just what it says (food, water, firewood)? If I can't bring ANYTHING else, I wouldn't do it. I could get mauled by a bear, freeze to death (no word on where it is or what time of year), starve because I can't cook food, etc. If it's just staying in the cabin and I can bring say a backpack full of whatever I want, then hell yeah. That actually sounds kind of nice. Although hopefully it's near a lake, because after a month I would reek... |

Dude, cell phones and internet are the last thing on my mind in this situation. As long as I have the supplies to be reasonably comfortable, healthy, and safe, I'll find ways to entertain myself without being on f---ing Facebook.

I've had to go out to the countryside to get my dad's stuff when he passed on. At the time, I couldn't really picture myself doing it since it was menial work going through his belongings all day, but there was a time where I kinda found a nice balance to all the madness and enjoyed the moment and I could see why he wanted to get away from it all... I'd say I'd do it.

I don't get to stay for a month at a time, but I do this now. Sometimes TV works, but mostly just outside playing, or inside making food. Always getting more firewood ready.

It's a 2 bedroom shack in the woods, all pine inside. When we get there, there is some food, some firewood piled outside, SOMETIMES the kindling is set in the fireplace. I have to turn on the water, light the fire, then flip the circuit on the electric water heater. The likelihood of the heating element being bad in the water heater is inversely proportional to the outside temperature.
