I've read other opinions over the past handful of years that Chemical Guys was "garbage" - I don't know where it comes from. Since the local big box parts stores (Advance Auto, Autozone) started carrying some products & I've had no problems with the 2-3 I've tried (car wash, trim restorer, chassis black). If they were overpriced or underperformed compared to so many other brands I'd understand.

Some products work just fine. Some products are shit. Some products you have no idea what they are intended for versus the other 5 variations they sell. I think a really good example is them advertising their Butter Wet Wax as a scratch remover. If that doesn't explain it for you then ignornace is bliss and enjoy what they sell. To put it simply why support a company that is clearly of lower quality and ethical marketing practices verus the many brands that are tried and true and haven't misled customers? Again if you don't care about any of this then I salute you. I just don't like people getting ripped off. I rather use any Meguiars product over CG product (Meguiars is a solid company). Anyone else feel free to chime in but this is a never ending topic again due to their phenomenal marketing staying top of mind. |
