trust the canadian to share his view on guns...
by the way i am canadian and i have no problems with guns at all... in fact if i could, i would like to own one at home so i can protect my fucking house. i already got broken into before. and its not comforting to know that if a bunch of thugs came into my house while i was at home, i have nothing to protect myself with except an ikea kitchen knife... i cant even buy a decent taser here for christ's sake...

When I lived back in VA I owned three guns (sorry no pics).
a Rossi M92 (.357/.38) with brushed silver and ebony stock. A really beautiful looking gun. Pretty accurate. And was decent for some deer hunting. a Remington 12 gauge pump action shotgun. and A .22 bolt action for some plinking. In Dubai I cannot own any guns. God I miss America |

Nice collection guys. Something I'll likely get into, in the future. On a side note, with my limited knowledge of firearms, I get a laugh that I can recognize/name many of these from playing Call of Duty.

I want a S&W X Frame 500 Mag. and another Glock, I was thinking .40, but 9mm is a little tempting (I have never liked 9mm, but its cheap to shoot with little recoil)

Don't own any real guns yet. Eventually want to get an AR-15, M1 Garand, some type of bolt action, and maybe a pistol. Here is my collection of Airsoft guns though:
The AK, Shotgun, and Sniper Rifle are all spring powered. The Glock is CO2 powered and shoots around 450FPS. The G22 is electric and fully auto. The Sniper rifle shoots around 500-600 FPS. I've left some nasty welts on my friends with it.

I'm kind of curious...being Canadian and all I don't get to go to a range often (unless I'm in the States) - but I've shot a 12 gauge shotgun before. Far as I could tell, this was a normal shotgun (ie. barrel was normal length, etc) and we were putting slugs (I think that's what they're called) through it. Maybe they're called sabot rounds or something - looked like it'd do some damage anyhow.
Anyways, my question was this - that shotgun had some serious kick to it...I saw that Mossberg 500 breacher barrel which looks to me if you fired it without the stock connected, you'd really hurt your wrist, maybe even break it? I assume the only reason the stock flips up is because its not "needed"...is that true? What is the recoil like...I assume that would be a good gun for house protection. |
