I think George would be gutted with anything less than 3rd.
But its a short lap so qualifying times will be much closer...pressure is on to get at least one of your two Q1 laps spot on.

On the not kidding side, you guys are talking about pressure. The pressure is squarely on one Mr. Mad Max/I’m not stoppen Verstappen. If he really is up to Lewis’s level, no time like now to show it. No excuses.

You, Belgium, his team, family etc etc and a bunch of other rabid fans say he is better than Lewis. If he can't beat BOT, who can't get out of his own way lately/is mentally effed in the head.........and a young inexperienced kid (who no doubt has a ton of talent etc) in a very foreign car to him, that looks very bad for Max. FP1 but lets not pretend BOT wasn't giving it a go... their times were less than 2 tenths off each other...

EDIT: Most often should have been used. Final FP1 was closer to .4 off.

Agreed. Bot was giving it a go and couldnt get it done. Plus its clear from this year that leading in FP is a goal for him.

Lewis doesnt have COVID and just wanted to see how he felt not racing while F1 was in fact racing. This would help him understand if he could be done or if he needs to keep driving.

When Toto has said (paraphrasing) "I need to make sure someone can take my place before I step down" he was referring to Lewis as much as himself.
