I like comic movies, though, and I keeping hoping DC will pick up but 4 hours of something I've kinda of already saw and disliked isn't all that attractive. I'm all for all action, little story (Undisputed 2-4!) but, damn...4hrs of re-cut?...

Full disclosure-I enjoy these action super hero style movies going to my kid days but I don’t go deep into the knowledge nor do I care who directs them, I enjoy them as movies and that’s basically it

I think most of the reason why it’s 4 hours is bc they stretched each scene a few minutes to up the drama. There were several extra scenes that added to the storyline or expanded on some things from the original movie. So I don’t spoil it for others but I was surprised by the alien for sure. Some of the added/revised materials were for set up to the future of the DC universe moving forward. Overall I’d say it worth watching but I’m glad I watched it at home cuz I don’t think I can sit through a movie this long in the theatres.

Too much damn slow mo for me. I wanted to yell “hurry up!” at the screen at times. I thought it was better than the original JL, but being better than a shitty movie doesn’t mean it was good. Glad I watched it at home and didn’t waste money for a theater ticket.

Can't really expect anything else with a Snyder movie. It would have been 2 and a half hours if it wasn't for the unneccessary slow mo. I don't mean to crap on him, but he's a one trick pony when it comes to directing and story telling.

Thoroughly enjoyed it!!!

Had it cranked up so loud in the Theater that my wife kindly excused herself.

WOW... All of that additional footage! And Steppenwolf looked completely bad ass! As did Darkseid. Loved the sequence of the first battle when Darkseid initially arrived.

A absolutely MUST watch for fans of the genre!

Am I the only person who’s shocked and annoyed that this is a 4x3 movie and not widescreen?

“To fully capture the director’s artistic vision”

Ridiculous

Agreed.
I may have been had I not watched it on my 135in screen.
I attempted to watch it downstairs on my 80in. Wasn't nearly as enjoyable. I imagine anything smaller would make it even less so. These types of movies need as much screen and sound system as possible.

You are not alone. I believe it was shot to fit an IMAX theater screen.

I think the only person who thinks it’s great might be TXSTYLE. He loves all kinds of movies, even the ones that most would say are terrible. lol

I’m not gonna bother spending 4 hours watching this one.

Sounds like a unpopular opinion but I watched over the course of two days and actually enjoyed it. Much better than the original. I'm one of those that enjoy the darker DC universe style.

Perhaps more unpopular I really don't like any of the marvel movies except Deadpool so I definitely go against the grain here.

Bro who cares if it's "unpopular".

I'm hapoy to go against the grain. Always have. Always will.

There are TONS of positive Reviews for this version, particularly from those sources who enjoy the genre.

I have friends waiting to come over next weekend to enjoy it on my setup. I'll be happily watching it again!

I liked it, I’m not much of a DC fan but I thought this was pretty good.

Saw it last night and I thought it was great storytelling, very graphic novel like. I grew up reading DC/Marvel comic books, so this was a delight.

Watched it Saturday, never watched the Whedon version.

Wifey and I both enjoyed it - but took a little 45 min break, about an hour in, to eat dinner.

I'm not a huge fan of comic book stuff or of movies, in general, these days. And I didn't really like the first JL, but I liked this one! Split it up over 2 days.

A+. I liked it. I knew it was long because it gave a proper introduction to all the characters and the story line.

It was nice to see that some actors had no problem coming back to shoot more content.

Thank you Snyder....

I just finished watching it this morning and I would have to say that I really liked it. I wish this is the film that had been released a few years ago. It is definitely worth watching for those on the fence.

It's amazing at how badly WB butchered the original with the re-shoots.

Vanity Fair has a good article on what Snyder had planned for this trilogy culminating with Batman getting a second opportunity (compliments of the Flash) to trade lives with Lois Lane thereby keeping Sups within the fold and Darkseid out.

Out of curiosity I put the movie on few days ago and turned it off after 20 mins. If this was the version that was released many years ago, then it would definitely have been worth it to sit through 4 hours. However, I quickly realized that this version was a cut and paste of different movies. I have already watched the other ones so wasn’t worth it to me. I like the character development and such but again, it’s different movies put into one to make it better. To me, it’s not worth it.

Just a FYI. About 70% of the theatre release were reahoots.
