Ajax is what got me interested in the sport so many years ago. I was working in Amsterdam in 1994-5 when the Netherlands won the European Cup. The city went nuts all night. The level of pure joy (and drunken craziness) was off the charts. I miss Orange in the World Cup also. Oh well.

As I expected the US cares much less about the World Cup this time around due to not making it. Ratings are way down too. I'm still watching but it just shows Futball still isn't Americas sport.
