she's already making somewhere in the neighborhood of $1M AND get's a paid vacation for 2 weeks. She will probably spend 2 weeks (paid) at Disney World (employee discount, if not free), getting the VIP treatment there. As said earlier, Kurt Schilling now has a very good case.....as does Kornheiser (even though i think he's a complete idiot)

Also, you might or not know that ratings were down at the end of last year, and the beginning of this year prior to any of this bullshit, and we are seeing nothing more than a continuing trend. Attributing it to boycotts is cherry picking data to say the least. Classic ignore the message / attack the messenger. |

As I have mentioned on here before why I think the NFL has sucked ass for years (Cliff Notes....put them in skirts (certain positions/players are protected), targeting hitting bullshit, play reviews, penalties on every punt/kickoff, penalty on 50% of passes over 30 yards, make a normal tackle and jump up and run to center of field to do a dance/folds your arms, cock your head and say "LOOK AT ME....I DID WHAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO DO". The game blows and is NOTHING like it was 20-30 years ago. |

I read "instant replay"; Jerry Kramer written by Dick Schapp way back when I was a "youth". THIS is the way football was meant to be played

"The "Colin Kaepernick Effect" is one of several possible factors in dampening the NFL's TV numbers. Natural disasters such as Hurricane Irma, increased competition for eyeballs from cable news, the Oct. 1 massacre in Las Vegas and the changing TV habits of younger, cord-cutting viewers have likely taken a toll as well." |

Games are available via OTA and other media to watch on devices. Personally I don't see cord cutting as a major factor because if people wanted to watch they can still easily do so.

I shared the link simply to add their take on the situation with some numbers. I don't know if the article is correct. I don't know all the reasons why NFL numbers are down. I'd guess that all the factors that have been mentioned this thread are contributing to the bad situation in which the NFL finds itself. The one thing I do know for sure: I'm not watching specifically because of the on-field in uniform protests. I believe when a player puts on a uniform he or she becomes part of an entity. To use the stadium while in uniform as a place to make a personal protest does not work for me, regardless of the validity of their message. I've weaned myself from NFL for the 4th Sunday now and I simply don't care anymore. That's just me. Others may have a different opinion. |

I was a New York Giants fan since before Y.A. Tittle ran into the goal post. Except for a few Eagles games last season, I no longer watch NFL. Started watching FA Cup/Champions League football, because Poiseuille Jr (rabid Gunners fan) had been watching it. Now I'm addicted, may never watch another NFL game. I guess my freedom of speech got tired of their freedom of speech.

I now invest my entertainment $'s in the upstart professional rugby league. I gave up my 3 Chargers season tickets when ownership shit on San Diego fans. Now have 3 season tickets to the Utah Warriors. Been a good transition and cheaper too.

NFL is a disaster right now and has really slapped the faces of their entire fanbase. Between domestic violence, the concussion saga, unfair officiating, moving teams, and this flag issue they have really done themselves in.
With that being said, I'm still gonna tune in and follow my crappy Lions as usual. There were a couple weeks last year where I didn't watch at all because of the political sh*tfest it became. Fans watch because they deal with constant bullshyt in their lives and want an escape. I think these entitled athletes have forgotten that's what sports is all about...coming together, setting aside our differences, and enjoying the game for what it is. Seems difficult for the perpetually offended in society to understand. Last edited by Germanauto; 09-05-2018 at 02:14 PM.. |

I made the switch to Lululemon a long time ago...much higher quality stuff that looks way nicer. As far as shoes go, Adidas has been putting out some sharp looking designs for a few years now (UltraBoost). Nike has been played out for quite some time.
