my dad actually owns our e90 but he'll let me drive it when i want because he knows that i will take very good care of it. Also having a weekend job at the local BMW dealership helps becuase every saturday i get to clean, vacuum and drive the cars i love.

I'm 24 - been married for two years, own three cars and own a house. (one is loaned to my father, to help him out) I have always had to work hard and pay for everything that I have. I know it has taught me a lot of work ethic, and I wouldn't be where I'm at w/o the difficult times in the past... My future goals include, but aren't limited to owning my own business and being much more financially independent...

First car was a 3 year lease on a 1999 Acura Integra (in 1999)
Next was a financed 2002 Acura RSX Type-S (in 2002) Finally my financed 330i in 2006 at the age of 30 All cars paid for on my own while living on my own. So, I voted #3.

I bought my 325i in 2001 at 25. Leased my 545i in 2005 at 28 and living on my own. Paid for both myself.
I guess turning 30 in a couple weeks I can't consider myself young anymore.

I'm a spoiled 19 year-old; I have absolutely no financial independence from my parents (even though I don't live at home). My dad got me my car, sort of as a graduation gift, sort of because I got really high standardized test scores. I would like to pay for my own expenses, but my parents are well-off and don't mind at all; in fact, they've expressed in the past that they don't want me paying my own expenses until I graduate and get a real job. So, yeah, I'm spoiled but I appreciate everything they've done for me, and I try to repay them because all they want to see is me succeeding.

No offense to my American neighbours but it doesn't take much to be driving a 3 series Bmw in the US... (if you lease it)
You can drive out with a 335 coupe practically fully loaded for 500$ a month on a lease. Here in Canada it will cost you 1100$ for a fully loaded 335. So if i were to spend the money i spend here on a car in the US i would probably be driving a Carrera... For 500$ a month here on a lease you'll be driving Civic si... |
