It's coming out all over the world right now - the Bold. It's a GSM based device. Verizon is a CDMA based carrier. They have to redesign and install a CDMA radio on the thing and have the FCC approve it. VZW is generally always behing on BB's due to them being designed for GSM, where they can sell more units. They got a nice deal with the Thunder (possibly called the Storm, aka HalleBerry) this time and have it first. A rare thing for VZW and BB. It is the reason I left them since I'm a BB fan.

ATT has a temporary exclusive on it, then it's coming out for tmobile, vz, and sprint....at least that's according to a couple of google searches.. boygeniusreport.com is usally pretty good about this kind of information. it's a damn shame BB plans for verizon are so expensive, on top of the phone which is rumored to be around 300...is it REALLY worth it if you're just a consumer using it for regular-cell phone stuff, and not a hard-core road warrior? |

I like the full QWERTY kyb style on the bold, but turning the Thunder sideways looks cool too.
I wish screen quality was better, when are they going to improve that? Also if ya'll are looking to switch phones, the HTC Shadow is an awesome phone. Windows ME 6.0 Wi-fi antenna built in for easy free browsing of the net and it's pretty quick too. Wife got one with a free upgrade on T-Mobile. |

b) im not sure you've noticed, but it is soooooo much more than a phone c) blackberry is "more made as a personal planner"? in what sense? seems to me that you've only seen an iPhone from a distance, otherwise you would not be posting crap like this...

The iPhone will not sync with a Corporate Microsoft Exchange Email environment.
The Blackberry will. If all you use it for is personal POP3 email, either works great. However browsing the internet on Cingulars EDGE network blows and the same for T-Mobile/Suncoms network. |

Uhm... WHAT? I have my iPhone syncing all my mail, contacts and calendars with corporate Exchange server OVER THE AIR. BB can not do it unless you have BB Enterprise Server or you use the desktop software to sync

No POP3 it uses Exchange DAV. iPhone 2.x firmware has Microsoft ActiveSync built in. Basically it does what Entourage (Outlook for Mac) does. It uses Exchange capabilities to sync everything via HTTPS over port 443 using webmail URL.
