so they place knox on the PUP list rather than cut him...sad to say but I don't think he's coming back, even if he does he won't be the same...
were any of you on the CBMB (chicago bears message board on chicagobears.com), can't believe they dumped that whole forum section and told everyone to just discuss via twitter or fb....

mentioned this in the chat but I found myself on the same team as hunter hillenmeyer today playing basketball at lifetime fitness. really cool guy, smart as a whip too. enjoyed meeting him - apparently he's there regularly.

some surprise cuts...didn't expect to see them go with just two qb's..hoping they sign mcgown or blanchard to the PS.. they dumped almost all their potential 6 foot receivers and went with dane..hoping his hands are better this season, but did he show some good speed and hands this preseason..hope anderson or summers make it the the PS surprised they went with booker over allen, I was hoping they'd go with the younger allen to develop him as he does show good hands and speed...hoping he makes the practice squad as well.. trading clutts for a cb I'm on the fence about. Clutts definitely blocked well and seeing as how the 4 TE's we are keeping don't block as good as clutts did, this should be interesting. davis's missed block last year was what got forte hurt..spaeth is probably the best blocker out of the bunch...

Strange but with Campbell backing up Cutty it probably doesn't make financial sense either.
The clutts trade has me baffled as well |

per briggs twitter page:
practice squad is done QB Blanchard RB Allen WR Joe Anderson OT Cory Brandon OT James Brown CB Isaiah Frey RB Harvey Unga DE Aston Whiteside all great pick up, except for Unga..but i guess they want fb on the roster just in case...hoping anderson gets a chance once knox come off the pup list and onto IR...

welcome to the nfl mr. luck
woot shaky start but finished strong.. cutty, marshall, forte, bush, bennett, and jeffrey played great.... kellen davis not so much, o-line found their groove along with the defense pressuring luck and getting some take aways lach looked good considering this was his first time playing since last season, hoping tillman's injury is nothing major... 4 days til lambo...let's gooo BEAR DOWN

Not the worst by any means, just maybe one that hurt the most. Hard losing to the fudgies in primetime.
The D was pretty good when they had to be but they can't save our asses like they used to. They're old, not gonna be getting back to the glory days of 05 when their play could win a game for us with all these mistakes. Cutler had some bad luck followed by some bad decisions - most likely because of the earlier bad luck and trying to over compensate. It's the curse of having a guy as tough and as hard of a competitor as he is. Favre was the same way - now all time INT leader. Honestly, wasn't impressed with Tice's play calling and adjustments. If he sees them playing double X on Marshall he has an opening to work with somewhere on the field. Oline is always an issue, gotta solidify it cuz the Packers just unleashed the ultimate blueprint on how to beat us for all to see. Hopefully Forte is ok, Bush had limited success but Forte as a check down in the passing game was sorely missed on 2nd and 3rd downs. |

bad all around...from the coaching down..
cutler got rattled early and the o-line couldn't get him back into it..pack shut down marshall and thats all cutty continued to look for..the rest of the wr's just couldn't get open except maybe EB once and awhile...DH was a fail all around, from punt returns to route running and catches... forte's game has always been dependent on the o-line, which we know how that went, we did well with bush in IMO when forte went out...and I think we'll be okay next week if forte can't go... defense played well, didn't give up much and pressured AR well for most of the game, you can tell they gassed out in the third...who could blame them with all the 3 and outs and picks the offense kept putting up.... I think the momentum changer was the fake field goal...made us play catch up from there on out.... tice didn't call any slants, kept going for the deep ball..couldn't make any adjustments...we needed to run the ball more and more effectively, that's how the 9ers beat the pack last week IMO... Cutty is getting raped in the media right now for his performance and rant on webb..personally i don't mind the intensity.. our offense starts and ends with our front 5...period...they still can't seem to get it right..FTL.. hoping we regroup and finish 4-1 before the bye, only tough game til then is the cowgirls, and if we get our act together we should be fine... BEAR DOWN

bears D beastin'
offense was meh, but looks like they made some improvements from the play calling to the o-line..I still say alshon should be starting over hester... call me crazy but I like bush starting over forte, more of a north/south runner that really challenges the defense rather than forte's lateral/open field running... next stop MNF with the cow-girls... let's gooo

Yeah was a strange and sloppy 1st half, if not entire game. Still not sold on the Offense having their shit together. Everyone knows how to beat us, rush 7 and double Marshall. Luckily Bush ran like a tank and got us going.
Yes the D was beasting, Urlacher is looking better and better each week coming off that surgery. |

would love to see some tight end sets, I think it'll help the o-line and give cutty more options...rather than max protect and just run or check down...and alshon would also be better than hester IMO in those rush 7 and double marshall situations...
