It's a nice piece, I'm probably going to grab a different band for it however. Get on the watch forums, people trade their panerai's like they are playing cards. Might be able to find one for an ok price. |

timezone.com watchuseek.com those are 2 seposedly good ones, I know there's lots of others, but can't think of them at the moment. But there's lots of brand specific ones as well. I tend not to read too many of the forums, I prefur to do my own research, there's lots of people out there with pretty bogus opinions (just like any other forum) But on the other hand, it's also a great resourse for opening you up to brands you won't have heard of. I found this site the other day, it isn't a complete list of all the brands, but it's got the most in one location that i've come across, unfortunatly no prices are listed either. But it's a good resource to see what's out there. http://watchluxus.com/brands again, not all watches are shown, and not all brands are shown, but it should give you a good start to see what exists. |

You might try a 25mm extension tube on some of your current lenses before plunking down money on a "macro". It's simple mechanics. My 70-200mm and 500mm make excellent macro lenses with an ET attached. They're very inexpensive and yet can play a valuable roll.

If you have to MF it's not the end of the world in macro, because you usually focus by setting the camera and then moving the whole shebang in and out fromt he subject. My Canon will AF with my Canon lenses and bodies, which does help some, but I often have to override the AF and go manual to get the right part of the subject in focus. Dave
