Or some places would make you pay a rewind fee.

There’s also the movie of the same name with Jack Black.

I used to get teary-eyed at the end of Lassie. That sad music and then the paw would come up. So touching.

The 1950's one had a tow-behind trailer for the wings, some assembly required when the owner wanted to fly. My thought is that a Skymaster-like twin boom with wings that could be quickly detached and left at the airport would be more practical, for someone who wants a really slow-flying plane coupled to a car engine that needs yearly FAA annuals. Sort of like the Amphicar, which wasn't really a great boat.

The market for drone-like flying cars isn't pilots, but rather normal people with self-flying copters. Every time I see a new one announced, my first thought is that it is nothing more than an investor scam.....

This is a bit more practical...at least for young whipper-snappers, although the lean angle looks questionable in corners when using motorcycle mode.....

Yeah, every now and then I think about “cleaning” my pipe. I’m sure she has at least one built-in vacuum port

What time is it? It's Howdy Doody time! I used to watch it every day as a kid. I guess that makes me old.

Gort was the name of the robot, and Klaatu was the alien. The message "Klaatu barada nikto" was given by Klaatu to Helen, a human he had met prior to his being killed by the Army. She was to give it to Gort or it would have otherwise destroyed all humanity. It translates as "Gort.. Klaatu says don't kill them".

Happy ending and we are all still here. I saw it as a rerun in a movie theater a couple of years after it's initial release in 1951 and loved it. Gort.. Klaatu barada nikto was indelibly imprinted in my brain, and to this day I still drop it from time to time. Mostly I get that quizzical look reserved for the doddering old gentleman, but now and then someone will break out in a big smile and we will merrily stroll down memory lane together.

Those words were also used in the movie "Army of Darkness," though Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) couldn't say them right. lol

Like the movie, but I'm a bigger fan of the band Klaatu than the movie

I loved the "Ash vs. The Evil Dead" TV series of several years ago too. Sorry to see it end so soon.
