Always liked Jack Klugman. Loved the TV series "The Odd Couple" as well.

He was in some very good "Twilight Zone" episodes too.

Perry Mason episodes from the late 50s and early 60s come to mind here. I like the series' black and white presentation, its particular formulaic style, and, especially, the casting, including the guest stars.

I'd like it if I could find The Lineup – which I recall airing as San Francisco Beat back in the day – but I've never found it. However, The Streets of San Francisco is a worthy substitute. Nash Bridges, not so much, although I did (and still do occasionally) find the series entertaining.

We had a 2-lane slot car setup in our garage when I was a kid. I'd guess circa 1960 or so. My brother, dad and I spent many enjoyable hours racing against each other.

In addition to the race course track, we setup a straight line drag race and then custom built our own dragsters. I had mine configured to do cool wheelies at the start line.

Better have a couple of good erasers around. And some tweezers. (In this case, Bat-Erasers and Bat-Tweezers.)

My dad had an American Flyer train layout in his basement. It took him years to do. He made a lot of the structures himself using the wood from old cigar boxes.

We had it taken down last year in preparation for selling the house. We were trying to figure what to do with it. Was there someplace we could put it on display? Ultimately we decided to set it up in our warehouse so it could be a tribute to him located in the business he built. It's still in a storage trailer waiting for the people that took it down to come and reconstruct it.

Never understood the train thing, but certainly appreciate the time/effort/craftmanship in those models!

Not sure old geezers are your business demographic, but that display will certainly draw them in.

I posted it here in response to 3798j's post of the slot car layout. And I can hijack my own thread.

Certainly wasn't trying to bust yur balz

Things financially are extremely well, almost holding my breath. Even the tax estimate was far better than I worried. Slept most of the night last night too

Went to my optometrist yeasterday for my yearly eye exam, except it had been almost 3 years, and he found some bleeding in my eyes. Probably from high blood pressure. Have to make an appointment to see my ophthalmologist so she can take a look and decide what to do.

PS - my eyesight has been getting worse.

PPS - I think there are some laser procedures that can help clear it up. I hope.

I had some bleeders in the right eye, due to the dieabeetus. Went to Opto, he zapped em, and then FREAKED when he tested my eyesight since I came in at my natural -3.5. Then he realized they hadn't given me back my contacts.

Several years later, if my blood sugar is low and I blink, I can see the 7 spots. No other issues so far. Still running -3.5/-4.0, same as when I finally got glasses at age ~13.
