The tradeoff is the fire risk, although right now the temperatures are not hot. But introduce hot temperatures and windy conditions into the picture and the anxiety level goes way up.

Speaking of wildfires... Jasper, Alberta got hit quite bad. They're calling for 1/3 to a half of the buildings destroyed. Population of only about 5000, mostly a tourist town. A lot of hotels and resorts are leveled.
Fire smoke season is in full swing but it's keeping north for now. |

Terrible wildfires in Oregon, too, but nowhere close to us. And the smoke is all blowing into Idaho, Montana, etc.
