Saw my cardiologist yesterday. Told me my 24 hour heart monitor results were normal. He said no caffeine, no sugar, and no alcohol. Hah, like that’s gonna happen.

The sugar I could handle. No caffeine or alcohol? Not so much.

My cardiologist is too strict. I'm sure he doesn't think I'll do some of the things he's asking of me. I think he's just going by the book for a senior.

The important thing is the heart monitor results were normal. I honestly thought there was a problem. Big weight off my shoulders.

This monitor even had an 'event' button that I was to push when I thought something was going on. I pressed it several times and he could see when I pressed it in the report and said "everything was normal," stating that extra beats, which is what he saw, were considered normal.

We made another appointment in 4 months to see if anything changes.

Was it like a light fluttering feeling? I get that every now and again. And usually for no particular reason.

I wouldn’t describe it that way. Felt more like a missed heartbeat and then an extra hard beat, kind of out of pace. I would describe the extra hard beat felt like a tremor.

Was thinking that possibly I needed a pacemaker. Glad I didn't.

Possibly PVCs ? where bottom chamber fires early. If bottom chambers it’s harmless and doesn’t cause secondary issues like AFib does on top chambers.

Caffeine and aclohol do influence skipped / early beats. If you get an iwatch / certain fbit watches you can do an ecg when it happens. Then google the patterns and there is good info on what is happening based on the ecg.

My threshold for PVCs is either getting cold, 1 coffe and two wines / beers , or two coffees, 1 beer or wine,

Good news that you’re cardiologist isn’t concerned.

Yeah, I agree, If he's not worried I'm not worried.

Don't drink that much, a few wines on Friday night. One coffee in the morning.

He does not OK that I do that but I see no reason to change, especially with his "normal" report on my heart. Gotta enjoy myself a little.

Not doing the things that makes your life enjoyable is not living it’s existing.

When you pass by a house with a recessed garage and a dual car port in front of the garage.
I made a U-Turn to see how it was all set up.

We didn't have indoor plumbing until I was 12 years old. We didn't have running water in the house until the same time. Chickens use to roost in the outhouse so you better use it before it got dark. It got hot..we would just jump in the creek. Spent most of the day taking care of things on the land, walking the woods or playing in best friends dad's junkyard. Dad used to take us ( my brother and I ) on rides of his Harley in the early 1950's.
I have much more stuff now, but not nearly as much fun.

^ Yep, this is true. I just had a birthday and it surprises me how young I feel inside. Except for some physical aches and pains every now and then, I don’t feel like an ‘old person’ at all.

Same here. I feel the body isn't as quick and strong as it used to be, but my mind is as sharp as...um...

What was the question again?

Uh, how old do we feel on the inside?

I feel about 20 - 25.

Wait was there a question?
