Light rain here but at least 19C, got some cycling in earlier before it started. After some lunch a walk into town looks on the cards with a brolly and a rain proof top.

We're supposed to get some leftovers from Beryl overnight & tomorrow. Only about an inch of rain over a whole day. We definitely could use some rain, the grass is starting to brown.

Warming up; 91°F right now with a high predicted to be 102. Tomorrow's high is supposed to be 105. That will be our hottest day so far this year.

Mother Nature has had a slight change in plans over the past six hours.
"there will be the possibility of isolated, weak tornadoes this afternoon and evening." Oh, so glad to hear that they'll be "weak" if they show up.

It hasn't rained this much in a while, looks like it's done and drying up now.
We ended up getting 55.6mm (2-1/4") of rain yesterday according to the weather site. It seemed to come down in buckets on both of my commutes and nearly clear during the day. Last year we had 160mm (6-1/4") for the month of July for reference... by far the wettest month. Previous single day high was 27mm back in May 2024. (measured at the airport, some areas got more/less) Last edited by freakystyly; 07-11-2024 at 10:56 AM.. |

2.5" of rain in the last 48hrs but it look good for the week-end; steady at ~86ºF but thanks to humidity in the 90% it will feel like ~95ºF.

The effects of storms spawned by Beryl on Monday caused widespread damage and power losses throughout the Ark-La-Tex. There were numerous injuries, and one loss of life when a tree fell on a mobile home killing a 31-year old woman.
Current temperature is 92* w/50* humidity and a heat index of 100*. We expecting a high of 95*, so it's going to be a pretty nice day.

Hot and sticky today. All my chores are done. I will probably have a B&B afternoon (Beer and bikini) on the north porch and catch the ocean breeze.

Current temps are upper 70's with humidity levels in the high 80's. Humidity will likely drop as the temperature increases later in the day. Seeing a slight increase in some pollen counts due to all rain from last weeks turbulent weather. Should be a nice summer day, with no excessive heat warnings.
