It comes down to two things, from what I have learned:
1. Insecurity. "What do you need that I cannot give you?" And "Why are they hotter then me?"
2. It creates unrealistic expectations about what women like, sexually. Most porn is all about the men - the primary consumers. The things that happen in porn are rarely geared toward female pleasure. Men are very visual and auditory. Women are more verbal and cerebral. (Vast generalization, but true.)

That said, many couples watch porn together and talk about it. That shared experience enriches sex lives. Getting off on porn with your gf? Good. Getting off on porn instead of your gf? Not so much.
