i kinda like the yellowness... gives an aged look to the christmas photo, kinda nastalgic.

but, if i were going that route, i'd add noise.

hope you don't mind...

I added noise (maybe too much) and a slight increase to the vignetting.

So something like this, maybe? Some noise and some vignetting?

Might be back in the summer again, my dad was telling me about the Rodeo in Chayenne, so I might check that out, and attempt to get to the dunes. I'll let you know if I'll be back out this way.

Well done.

I was out this morning trying to get something nice with the eclipse, but the haze was too much. I'll have to do a straight moon shot tonight.

that's too bad about the haze, but at least you got up to see it.

I'm still mentally 1 times zone off from here, and have 2 more times zones to drive through, so i wasn't ready to mess with sleep to see the eclipse this time around.

anyways, off to rocky mountain park with the dad and his wife. Hopefully catch some wildlife.

I was told tonight is the full moon, so you should be have some great opportunities

Full moon here tonight, but cold as hell. I decided to shoot the moon as it came up over the ridge behind our house. I did it from the comfort of our bedroom. While I was waiting for the moon to clear the trees, I grabbed this shot of the turkey buzzards hanging out in the trees. It wasn't nearly as bright out as it looks. In fact, I had to call on my old Mexican buddy Manual Focus to get this shot at all. That's the moon coming up in the background.

Such a romantic scene. Moonlight. Buzzards. All that's missing is the Beethoven music wafting in.

What settings/lens were you shooting with that caused the blur?

it's mostly because the deer was actually close, and the slight camera shake giving me that blur.

but it was:
7D
100 ISO
100-400mm F4-5.6
shot at 400mm
F5.6
1/200th
