Great TV series - What are you watching now?

The acting was just terrible. The old man was good, everyone else was so wooden. Manifest suffered from the same thing.

Well, when ppl are so full of themselves, they become caricatures, so I accepted that kind of acting.

This was more how I take it. They are robots to a fault. But I understand why that would totally put some people off.

It's definitely a test of patience, although once thing I like about the weekly release is that everyone is on the same page. Other than House of the Dragon, I feel like Game of Thrones was the last show that we as a society collectively watched together and talked about every week in excitement. While everyone watched Stranger Things too, no one was at the same pace or episode at the same time making it harder to talk about with others.

Luckily up until now we have been behind so we have not had to wait for any shows. We only finished GOT maybe like 2 months ago. It was good but we had to take breaks because it got exhausting, especially when we could binge watch it.

I guess. I'm a hermit so I wouldn't talk to anyone about it anyways.

The main thing I don't like is that we have to watch other stuff between releases so when we come back to it we may not be in the "mood" or have forgotten some of the plot line as we have other shows on our mind.

We typically pick a show and then watch that all the way through and move on to another show. I don't like watching 5 different shows at once.

While it deviated from the game, obviously, I feel it did it for the better. That's just me though.

I think it's a smart move to do the odd flash back piece to put the pieces together or just following two people trying to get from A to B will get tired quickly.

Agreed. Blasting infected, progressing, blasting infected, progressing, would get stale like you said. This isn't a video game.

I kept waiting for Joel to meet up with him like in the game but by the time they got to year 20 and they were easily in their mid 70's, I knew that idea was out the window.

I am all about the action, but Nick Offerman absolutely killed it last night and this was the best deviation from the game. Fantastic writing.
