There is so much for which to be thankful.

I’m typing this response on an electronic tablet that is connected wirelessly to most of human knowledge. I just raised the temp of my house via an app on my phone. I am about to go to the hospital and save people from dying from kidney failure. We are drowning in good things and no one is happy.

There are a lot of people who do not have good things (mostly because of their personal participation level) who want to tear down societies that are drowning in good things. Those are the people who are unhappy and concerningly currently have the voice of government. That's what makes me not (completely) happy. Unfortunately, that tablet you have also disperses hate and dissent.

The other people who are unhappy are those who are so content they have to find a purpose in life and worry about unnecessary shit. Those people have decided they can save the planet through planned manipulation of the climate. They are unhappy about something in the future that they can never prove if it is an actual concern. Paying more taxes and higher energy costs and lowering my standard of living is not what I'm willing to participate in to sooth their mental illness.

I have had the pleasure to drive a lot of the Trans-Canada Highway and I can tell you there is no way in hell that is EV friendly.

When I am driving on the trans-canada highway. I will start looking for gas station when the gas tank not even reach 3/4 empty. You never know, the next gas station may be 150km away. If I am driving a EV, I will shit my pant every time I travel.

It likely has changed since I went last time I was up there but there's a gap across northern ontario that's 360 miles (580kms) between gas stations. Have fun towing a generator along.

It looks to have been filled in over the years, but I'm sure there's still plenty of sketchy "I'd rather not stop here" places too lol.

They aren't losing this EV fight. The reason why all the automakers are on board is because they are promised basically free money for doing so.

But the governments will pretend to back off the EV narrative, and then ramp up the climate change rhetoric and basically say "we gave you a chance to do the right thing, now we have to force you!"
