Kinda like giving a prize to every competitor so they all feel special. I suppose BMW is doing the same thing. |

I retract my statement, I didn't realize it was to denote an "S-Line" car, like M Sport. I thought they were putting the red bit on everything, which is what I get for skimming the article.

Some are upset by fake badges, some find it amusing, I am in the latter camp. Plus, I figure that anyone who does it is aspirational and a car guy, so I afford them leeway.
My m550i is debadged, so I lean in the direction of subtlety, for myself.

I'm visiting my in-laws in Lima. You can't swing a dead cat here without hitting a fake ///M badge.

He has really upped the game by acquiring government issued recognition. Sure would have been fun to have been the DMV employee who refused issuance of the plate unless he removed the "M" prefix...lol |

While we all could think of at least one vehicle that should have come from the factory with the badge below, a few of the posting should get tagged with one.
For $3 each, I'm awfully temped to stick one on one of my vehicles just to test how many would folks would come up and ask, in a serious tone, "Is that a new-line?" You'd hope and think is would zero, but I'm willing to bet otherwise. |

Lose weight.....
Debadge. Removing the trunk badge. Not necessary....gets in the way of a proper buffing. Porsche has offered badge build sheet removal for years on the configurator
.......nothing new

Over here, the debadged look is usually the choice of those driving 4-pot diesels. Concealer of sorts. See? You can't win amongst those that care about this sort of thing. |
