BUMP! It's important though.
I just fired up GT5 and went into a practice session with a new car only to realize that I can't actually steer! As soon as the autopilot thing went away and gives you the controls, the car literally will not turn no matter how much steering input I give. I still have control over everything else, but no turning from either the stick or the d-pad buttons. I tried w/ multiple cars, settings, tracks, and even my spare controller and nothing. I restarted the game and it fixed nothing. Then after I gave up and turned the PS3 off it rebooted on its own a minute later. I was nowhere near the controller Also, both the first and second (reboot) time I turned my PS3 on, the controller I used to turn it assigned itself to controller 2, even though the other wasn't on. So is GT5 killing my damn PS3 or is it just some random glitch? Has snyone else had this problem?

Thats really weird, mostly because of the rebooting issue.
I had a really weird thing happen when I was trying to resume an endurance race already in progress. Check it out: The game eventually finished the race for me, just barely as I had below 1/4 of fuel left and no rear tires. I wish it would do all the endurance races for me, haha. |

That's awesome
Maybe later today I'll have the guts to try it again. I'm SO glad I backed up my save to a USB. I think if I need to start over at this point I'll loose a couple hundred thousand and a car or two.

Well I figured out the problem. The USB on my wheel was plugged in and it was overriding the controller the whole time. So my PS3 isn't possessed and/or dying yet
BUT, this whole night I kept getting disconnected from the server in the middle of a race. That was if I could actually connect to the damn thing in the first place. People like to go online on a Saturday night, so fix your shit PD! Edit: might try clearing the cache in GT5 since I've been online a lot. If that doesn't work, screw you PD!

Bump for new DLC
Won't even bother posting the other two, chances are you don't want it anyway. EDIT: Hopefully fixed the images. Thanks Sylon If they still don't show up, just go here http://www.gtplanet.net/gran-turismo...now-available/

Fixed [I hope], thanks.
I'm definitely getting the cars, not sure about the track for $4.

Now they work!
I'm trying to find reasons to keep playing this game. There are trophies I know I won't get, I am just not skilled enough. I just grinded for days and days to get 1000 cars, so now what? I'm not sure if I'll get the DLC just yet. |

Aside from the Leaf and Mini, this is the best car pack yet. I still have yet to purchase any DLC for this game. Just can't bring myself to do it.

About the new DLC. The Aventador sounds great and drives nicely when the centrediff is at 20F/80R or even more rwd biased 10/90. Great car.
The Aston is a nice heavyweight drifter and the Jag XJR 9 is almost the fastest car out of the box in GT5(?) , 940BHP from an atmo V12. With the same car fellow Dutchman Jan Lammers won Le Mans back in 1988(750BHP) In the trainingsessions at the Mulsanne Straight back then he got >402kmh on the speedo(that's 250mph!) Later he told the press he was a bit afraid the whole car would takeoff at that speed(very low drag/low downforce) but he didn't want to show his fear(...) to his fellow drivers/team... I can do 250mph flatout while drinking a beer in GT5. Excellent. |

I've been playing a lot of Forza for the past few months, but when I went back to GT5 the other day I was amazed at how much more realistic GT5 feels as a sim. So now I'm back at playing this game. The only thing that really bugs me is the engine sounds. They sound horrible compared to Forza.
I was able to pull off a pretty good lap time (1:38.457) in a stock E92 M3 (soft sport tires) at Laguna Seca: Everything in sim, all nannies off.

I tried the old McLaren on that Route X to see if it would hit 241mph, and it didn't even come close. In fact, once I finally hit top gear the car continued to go slower. It never broke 217mph. The car was bone stock, 0 miles.
