Thanks. Neuschwanstein is a must-see if you ever do an ED, IMHO. If you don't want to drive down to the area, there are day trips from Munich.

Good clone. Much better. Did you have to sneak your camera in? I remember when we were there a couple years ago they said you could take pics out of the castle, but no interior pics.

It was the same when we were there. When the group was in this room, I worked my way to a window and marveled at the view. As the tour leader was leading the people out of the room, I took my camera out of my pocket and took a quick series of pictures out of the window.
I used a simple Panasonic TZ1 for all the pictures on the trip.
The picture is mild HDR. You can only tell by the heightened detail on the inside of the columns.

Pretty cool sunset on the way home tonight. And then I turned around and saw an awesome yellow moon rising. Nice and big on the horizon. But with the 10-15mph wind, I just couldn't get a steady enough shot to pull a decent crop. I really need a better long lens for moon shots. And maybe a calm day. Wind is a killer, even with a decent tripod.

Wind and slow shutter speeds just don't work. Even if the camera is screwed down to a granite block, the wind will grap and shake the lens.

Great colors here though.

If you're asking me, then no, except for default in DxO.

gottcha, yeah, was just checking, some of the owl features seemed soft focused, but wasn't sure if it were due to the adaptor on the large lens or lack of sharpening in post processing, and etc.

I like the subject owls are fun.

It's soft because it's shot at 700mm and 1/100th second after sundown. Plus, owl feathers are soft and less defined than other bird, so they fly silently.

that's a very good reason....

and interesting to know about the soft feathers on the owls... Just reminded me of one of the worst jokes i've heard in a long time...

Why don't you ever hear bunny rabbits having sex?

because they have cotton balls!

I apologize for the joke.... it's a bit unfortunate.

More from Africa. This is a white (albino) lion cub. They are so soft and fluffy.

Great (horned) owl shot Dave. Sorry couldn't resist. My mom is a big fan of them. I'm waiting to find a burrowing one out here.
