My girl's CCW got approved today. I'm really happy for her. Now we can train tactics that make sense for an armed civilian (…and determine what her "line in the sand" will be).

Yes I am and no, that's not true. It's a county to county thing. Plenty have CCW's here.

He is in SoCal, LA county, which is more open to CCWs than some other counties, such as San Francisco's county.

That's partially correct. LA County is a non-issue county (…even though the current Sheriff stated he's going to issue; prior Sheriff's only issued to their closest personal and political friends). San Bernardino County, Kern County, Orange County, Riverside County, etc. issue regularly. SD County is hit & miss/50-50, but my g/f lives in SD County and was able to easily acquire hers.
