I'm more interested that 2x new teams might get the change to join F1 from 2025 and they are allowed to apply. Its an apply now or STFU moment for Andretti and who else I wonder.... |

Ferrari and Mercedes are huge manufacturers and Red Bull Racing is minute but classed as a manufacturer now with their own in house Power Trains so really can't say no if Ford or whoever come in with pots of money with RB still calling the shots but we'll see what Honda can say to that.

But if they're going to suddenly "sell-out", that's the part I'm going to be disappointed about. I think Red Bull is at a point where they're a F1 powerhouse and they do have the resources to go it alone, but could they do it completely on their own? That's the part I was excited to see. |

Welp. Guess Red Bull can’t do it alone or choose not to. Ford + Red Bull official. Not sure about the details though.
Disappointed. |

Ford has history...
"Red Bull is still based at the same factory Ford helped set up in 1996 as the main backer of the then Stewart Grand Prix team." "Ford has a rich history in F1, most notably through its funding of Cosworth's development of the legendary DFV engine in the 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s. The Cosworth DFV remains the most successful engine in F1 history, powering a number of different teams to 155 victories over a period of 16 years." https://www.espn.com/f1/story/_/id/3...-2026-red-bull |

It's still going to be, fundamentally the Honda engine for 2026. Improvements by engineers at RBPT. I don't think Ford is really going to do anything besides sell a ton of cars from, what appears to be a very well paved path for success until 2026 at RBR.

Three long years the HRC and Honda insignia with their tech will remain pleasing Honda somewhat who will power RB and AT and will give Honda plenty of time to look for a new team(s) who will get fed up of the Merc/Wolff strangle hold.
