Can anyone explain Detroit to me? Visiting for 3 days for a Dodge thing and I can't wait to leave this complete shit hole. I was shocked to see the prices of homes here at first but now I can't even imagine getting anything here even if it's free. You can literally buy a lot with a house on it for $2000. Happiest part was visiting the Hardcore Pawn store. All I know is that this place has the top 3 most dangerous neighborhoods in the entire US. Gotta be proud of that stat.

Downtown is fun, if you're a local and know the good places to eat / meet people. Pegasus in Greektown is one of my favorite restaurants, broiled octopus is chronic. The surrounding areas are pretty shitty, but it's pretty apparent where to stay away from.

If you haven't grown up there, you won't find much appealing in 3 days unless you know someone from around there that can show you all the cool spots.

I suspect whatever he got banned for has long since been deleted. All the interesting posts always are. Be so much better if they could instead be left as signposts of what not to do if you don't want to be banned (and then I could read them too since I always seem to miss the reason for the ban...)

But yeah, just reading even 1/2 page of that makes me glad I haven't ventured into the politics forum. I'd probably get banned pretty quick for my views if I expressed them.

Of course if it is pushed too far the ass in question would be banned , that's how it was with my situation
