Yeah, I generally trust most opinions on here. Well, except that TXSTYLE guy

Which is why I went back to the bottle after a few months or so, just in case it was a bad mouth day or something. Just couldn't do it as a sipper.

Maybe I can find it in a local bar and revisit, without buying a whole bottle. I'll have to remember where I saw a place that had some rum flights. I shied away from Diplomatico because of previous experiences.

Two weeks ago went to an upper-scale steak house (they think). Happy hour so tried their old fashioned. Wife got on phone to nieces and suddenly were going to Macys cosmetics. “Bartender, make it a double!” I have a couple and then the bar manager comes over to discuss their future tasting club, and pours me a rather generous Pappy 12. I couldn’t appreciate it after the previous olds

Return last night, mouth clean, waited on eating garlic bread app until I got a nice taste, big rock in the middle. Shared with my youngest son and his GF “This doesn’t come around all the time”

Dinner comes, and so does another glass. Then the bill comes at $420 for 4??? $75/pour for Pappy. It was nice to have tried it

Made my own limoncello. It turned out really well. Started with a great locally distilled vodka

I certainly hope so for the price. I'm not a Scotch guy per se. But I do keep a few nice bottles on hand. Speyside always. Can't handle the smoke.

Dad's Hat Whiskey. It's glorious.
Also, Faber Gin is pretty damn good for a cheap Gin.

I helped my baby bro bore some candle holes in a piece of driftwood he/gf found in Carp. I was letting him do some of the work and he jumped the hole and took a bite out my wedding finger

So he gave me a bottle of Dom 2012. Will be enjoying that at cabin in a few weeks, hopefully cooled in snow on the deck

Smooth Ambler is selling their own bourbon now! Not MGP or Dickle Sourced.

Founders Cask Strength Series. 2022 Batch 4. 6 years. 61.4 ABV

It is a little young, lot of spice, very caramel finish.

I'm posting this retroactively. Not long after taking this pic, I didn't really have the motor skills to post it here.

Question

Has anyone tried this? I'm planning to grab a bottle after reading the tasting notes and super smooth reviews.
