That's what a curfew is for.

The State of Wisconsin testified that the city of Kinosha was under a mandatory curfew on the evening/night of 25 Aug 2020, so everyone that was present, regardless of age violated curfew.

I know that.

Yes, it was clearly not a SBR.

The "straw buyer" has a good chance of beating that charge as well.
Why do you think he'll beat the charge?

Sec 948.60 of Wisconsin code is difficult to understand but it's a felony to transfer a firearm to someone under 18 unless the receipt is using the firearm for hunting or firearm safety activities.

Based off of the testimony from Rittenhouse and others.

“Straw purchases are a common way for felons, gang members and criminals to get guns. However, there are exceptions to what constitutes a straw purchase. For instance, you can legally buy a gun with the intent to gift it to a non prohibited person. That isn’t a straw purchase.”

It comes down to the elements of the charge, and if the state can prove that the purchase met all elements. The sworn testimony from Rittenhouse and others was that the gun was a gift and would be given to him once he turned 18.

I don’t know what evidence the state has to prove that it meets the elements, only time and trial will tell.
It might be dropped, plead down or go to trial.

I’m very curious to see if the state charges Grosskruetz with a felony charge for the weapon he had, and pointed it at Rittenhouse.

I’m very curious to see if the state charges Grosskruetz with a felony charge for the weapon he had, and pointed it at Rittenhouse.
But Kyle had the gun, not supervised, in a curfew situation, before he turned 18; so much for that dodge.
So the friend either gave the gun to Kyle, or Kyle stole it? Hmmm, who to charge for this crime...?

Re: Grosskruetz, do you think he can say he was making a citizen's arrest, like the guys in GA (who actually pulled the trigger)?

There is no dodge, just the facts. The state dropped the weapons and curfew charges on Rittenhouse. Rittenhouse was acquitted with prejudice on all charges including the lesser charge.

As previously stated, I’m not here to debate the law, 2A or the facts of the case. If you want to know more, it’s all out there, do some DD and find peace.

As to Grosskruetz, and anyone charged with a crime, you can claim anything, it’s making the State/DA, and or jury believe you is the challenge.

IMHO, most people are cowards who are scared to act when it's time to act…..

…whether that action is to defend someone who is being assaulted physically (…e.g…a flight attendant being assaulted by a passenger), defend somebody being assaulted verbally (…e.g. BLM crowds/members disrupting people just trying to eat dinner with their families) or defend a city that is being perpetrated against by people with bad intentions. Good on Rittenhouse to act to protect life and property. If we had more Americans who were willing to combat the nonsense, we wouldn't be in the perilous state we're in [as a country].

I know this is a meme, and a funny one at that . One of my guns has a crimson trace built in. Every time I click it, I always think of cats chasing it

A question for Sedan, would this be considered a felony? If you're pointing a firearm at someone with no intention to pull the trigger, but to let your animals attack, then do you really fear for your safety? Unless of course your cat is Joe Exotic's lol

In the eyes of the law….and/or when questioned by the law, that answer is always a resounding, "yes!!!" Play it up!!

What's your opinion on undertech? I'm looking for leggings. Do your female colleagues ever mention a specific brand? Thoughts on a belly band?

UnderTech is awesome. They make good products that allow you to carry without the firearm feeling intrusive. Sadly, a lot of my female partners don't carry off-duty (…read: they are absolutely stupid for not doing so), but the few that do like the UnderTech products.

I think I'm going to purchase an undertech belly band since Carrie Underwood's leggings are much more stylish

That's crazy they don't carry off-duty. Better to have it and not need it, than to be a victim.

I totally agree. I've tried to impress upon them that line of thinking, but they are stubborn.

Send them down to New Orleans. One night here will change their minds. I look over my shoulder constantly, especially in the grocery parking lot.

I see beautiful women running uptown all the time with their AirPods in and I'm thinking, you dumb beautiful bitch. She's a criminal's dream. You're not safe anywhere in this city.

Part of the problem is the same thing that is infecting police responses. Fear that doing the right thing will result in life changing legal consequences when facing the political mob. For example a flight attendant being assaulted on a plane. If the assaulter is black and possible helping passenger is white it gives pause. One video of the white guy hitting the black guy and the real story might not come out.

Another factor is we are being brain washed into believing it is ALWAYS something best left to professionals and to not get involved. Not horrible advice IF the professionals are there.

I find myself impressed a lot actually. I've seen shanks made out of Gucci sunglasses, bongs made out of plastic cups & paper, and even firearms manufactured out of random stuff that'll fire one round.

All those are pretty wild but I mean, have you ever rolled up to a crime scene and just been impressed with the crime itself? Like some ocean's 11 shit or some Thomas Crowne Affair level?
